The 12 Best Restaurants in Disney Springs

There are many (many!) places to eat at Disney Springs, which is the huge dining, shopping, and entertainment center at Walt Disney World. So many, in fact, you would have a difficult time perusing them all, checking out menus, and trying to decide where you and your gang might want to have your meal. That's why we've done the perusing for you and narrowed the choices down to what we consider to be the 12 best restaurants.

A Florida native, Chef Art Smith serves homestyle Florida dishes at his restaurant, including deviled eggs, shrimp & grits, and probably the region’s best fried chicken. While the comfort food here is not for the diet-conscious, there are healthful options such as salads, sides, and grilled proteins. There are plenty of moonshine choices (with some available on tap!). For dessert, try the decadent shine cake, a lemon poppyseed butter cake soaked in moonshine syrup.

Morimoto Asia

The restaurant's expansive dining room is as dramatic as its Asian fusion food, which includes Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dishes. Peking duck, dim sum, and sushi are all available as are intriguing options such as portobello mushroom fries and Morimoto poke salad with tuna, salmon, apples, and pears. Or, go for the tonkotsu ramen, considered the best in Orlando. Morimoto Asia is one of many Disney Springs restaurants operated by the Patina Restaurant Group.

The fast-casual eatery offers small tastes of classic dishes such as egg rolls, chicken ramen, pork ribs, and California roll. A more adventurous item is takoyaki, octopus fritters served with nori, pickled ginger, and okonomi sauce.

Phone +1 321-348-3211

Spain is known for tapas, small-plate dishes that are meant to be shared. Jaleo, which specializes in Spanish food, has a menu full of tapas such as serrano ham, shrimp with garlic, and tortilla de patatas, a delicious omelet prepared with potatoes. The mastermind behind the restaurant is noted chef and humanitarian, Jose Andrés. If you have a gang of eight or more, consider getting the paella y arroces. The famous dish, which originated in Valencia, incorporates many ingredients and is prepared with bomba rice. Jaleo features a different paella each day.

We really like everything about Jaleo, including the counter-service eatery it runs adjacent to the main restaurant. You can order a variety of bocadillos (sandwiches served on crusty bread) here, including the bikini de jamón and queso—a pressed sandwich made with Serrano ham and Manchego cheese. If you have an insane appetite (or a couple of buddies to share your sandwich), you might want to try the pepito ternera. The 16-inch sandwich is packed with flat iron steak, caramelized onion, cheese, mayonnaise, and roasted green peppers on to-die-for bread.

The famous California-based celebrity chef has long had an outpost at Disney’s dining, shopping, and entertainment complex. There is a diverse array of specialty pizzas, with toppings such as BBQ pulled pork and wild mushrooms. For an entrée, we recommend the chicken schnitzel, which is prepared with marinated tomatoes, dill cucumbers, fingerling potatoes, and mache. To round out your meal, consider ordering the housemade carrot cake or the Spanish cheesecake, topped with raspberry coulis and fresh raspberries.

Enzo’s Hideaway

1560 E Buena Vista Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, USA
Phone +1 407-560-3696

Cleverly themed as a Prohibition-era speakeasy, Enzo’s Hideaway is located inside a former access tunnel for Downtown Disney. Italian fare is the name of the game here; menu items include eggplant parmesan, roast chicken paired with polenta and fontina, and Pasta Della Nonna, which combines rigatoni, short ribs, and meatball and sausage in a Pomodoro sauce. The cocktails are delightful, and you’ll want to save room for the cannoli.

There are more hearty dishes to try at Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante, located above Enzo's Hideaway. Serving up Sicilian-style pasta made fresh on the premises, this traditional Italian restaurant offers entrées such as lasagne Bolognese and chicken parmesan. The salmon, which is served with broccolini and a salt-baked potato, is especially good. It's recommended that you make reservations in advance.

D-Luxe Burger

Of course, Disney Springs had to jump in on the craft burger and milkshake craze. D-Luxe Burger is run by Disney (the “D” in “D-Luxe”). The fresh-ground, cooked-to-order burgers include the El Diablo (with chorizo, fried banana peppers, and chipotle mayonnaise) and a classic cheeseburger (which is reasonably priced at $10.49). To wash down the burgers, D-Luxe offers artisanal shakes, including the strawberry gelato shake, blended with strawberry smoothie mix.

The Polite Pig

Joe Brooks

1536 Buena Vista Dr, Orlando, FL 32830, USA
Phone +1 407-938-7444

If it's hearty, messy barbecue you're craving, The Polite Pig will do the trick. The Southern Pig sandwich slathers tangy mustard BBQ sauce and mayonnaise on pulled pork and fennel-apple slaw, while the prime brisket sandwich piles on pimento cheese, pickled jalapeños, and crispy onions. Sides include sweet potato tots, BBQ waffle fries, crispy Brussel sprouts, and grilled street corn. Don't forget the bourbon (of which there is an impressive variety).

Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs

1506 E Buena Vista Dr Suite A, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, USA
Phone +1 407-560-8180

That’s Chicken Guy, as in Food Network star and chef-dude, Guy Fieri. The fried chicken served here is crispy and not oily in the least. We recommend that you peruse the (loooong) list of sauces before you order: The cashier and the customers in line behind you will appreciate your forethought. The chicken comes in tenders, sandwiches, and salads.
