This small chain is well know for their hickory charcoaled steaks but they also have other options including chicken, fish and more. Casual dining and family friendly. Select your steak and "grill it your way." $$$

Community Bakery
West Little Rock 270 S. Shackleford
Baked goods for this shop are baked at the downtown location. If you're making a special bakery trip, I would recommend going downtown for more selection, but this location is good for a craving. $$

The original Crew is in Poughkeepsie, NY. The menu is eclectic and what they call American Regional. It features lamb, steaks, seafood and more. All is prepared simply and elegantly. Moderate pricing.

This is a mix between a burger joint and a Cajun restaurant.

The "thin fish" is great as is most of the menu. This is a favorite lunch hangout of locals. Moderate pricing.

Grumpy's Too Neighborhood Bar & Grill

Grumpy's is a sports bar with live entertainment divided into four sections: projection screen television near the stage, dining area, sitting area near dart boards, pool tables and more televisions. It's one of the only clubs that stays open late in West Little Rock.

Izzy's is famous for their tamales, but they're not a Mexican place.

They feature burgers, pasta, pizza and just about everything else. Do try the tamales though. They even have a large variety of vegan and gluten free offerings.

The Purple Cow is well known for their milkshakes and soda fountain. The food is your average diner menu: burgers, fries, sandwiches and salads, so nothing fancy but it does have a fun, family atmosphere with an old fashioned soda fountain/diner theme. Prices are moderate.

West End has pool tables but they also have live music and great food. If you like sports, West End has numerous television sets all set to different (sometimes the same) sporting events.

There's always debate on the "best" BBQ in any southern city, but if you're talking about Little Rock, Whole Hog always comes up. Whole hog has Memphis-style BBQ with 6 sauces and variety of products to choose from.

Don't let the Best Western fool you, this is one of the best upscale Italian restaurants in the city.

Fresh pasta and ingredients and substantial menu. $$$

This is a Little Rock standby, and still delivers a consistent experience. I crave Villa salads. Large portions. The food is basic and hearty Italian. $$
