Where to Have Easter Brunch in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas

There are plenty of opportunities to see the Easter Bunny or to attend an Easter Sunday service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but before you head out for a day of activities, you should start your celebration with a festive brunch.

A slew of DFW restaurants will be offering special menus and buffets for the holiday this year. Depending on where you go, you can enjoy anything from Texas barbecue and seafood buffets to traditional brunch favorites like chicken and waffles, quiche, and mimosas.

However, as these restaurants are quite popular and many families choose to dine out for Easter, you'll want to book your reservation at least two weeks in advance.

Located in Plano, the self-described "retro French steakhouse" Mignon will be offering a three-course holiday brunch in the form of either jumbo lump crab meat eggs Benedict, seafood crepes, beef bourguignon, or lamb shank. Adults may wash their delicious entrees down with a $6 mimosa or bellini. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $50 for adults and $30 for kids (who get a revised menu). You can either sit in the Parisian-style dining room or, if the weather's nice, outside on the patio that overlooks a pond.

Nestled inside the 66-acre garden of the Dallas Arboretum in the historic DeGolyer House, Restaurant DeGolyer is a dreamy place to grab Easter brunch. The botanical eatery will do seatings at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, but you need to make reservations in advance. The $69-per-adult ticket includes access to the buffet, non-alcoholic beverages, gratuity, and parking. Kids eat for $34 and children under 4 years old eat for free. On the menu is herb-crusted beef sirloin, grilled salmon with artichokes, a plethora of sides, and breakfast staples like sausages, eggs, and fresh fruit.

Although it doesn't prepare a special Easter brunch, Bread Winner's Cafe has a great brunch on Easter Sunday. It include farmhouse tacos, breakfast tacos, Julio's huevos, fried chicken and waffles, and several menu pages full of other fun dishes. If you're in the market for something alcoholic, this DFW chain has a full menu of "Hangover Elixirs" like Cinnamon Toast Milk Punch, frozen blood orange mimosa, and a bloody diablo with jalapeño bacon. Bread Winner's Cafe does not accept reservations. These lively, kid-friendly eateries are located in Uptown Dallas, Inwood Village, Plano, Northpark Center, Trophy Club, and Fort Worth.

Inside the upscale Ritz-Carlton is chef Dean Fearing's Southwestern-style bar and restaurant, offering a sumptuous three-course, prix fixe Easter Brunch in 2020. Gospel Brunch is a Sunday tradition for House of Blues properties around the country and you can bet that the house is full on Easter. Another great Mexican restaurant in Dallas—this one a little more upscale than Mattito's—Via Reál offers its regular Sunday brunch buffet on Easter, featuring waffles with all the toppings, made-to-order omelets, Southwestern eggs Benedict, potato and egg burritos, beef chilaquiles, and unlimited mimosas and poinsettias. It's available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with 1:45 p.m. being the last seating, and costs $28 per adult and $9 per child 12 years old or under.
