The Golden Triangle BID will present the “Golden Cinema Series,” a FREE outdoor movie festival held in Farragut Square in Washington DC. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy films under the stars on Friday evenings. Two rain dates are held for August 11 and 18, if needed. The Golden Triangle is the 43 block neighborhood that stretches from the front yard of the White House to Dupont Circle.
Dates: Fridays, June 2 - August 4, 2017.
Time: Gates open at 7:30 p.m. Movies start at sunset.
Location: Farragut Square, at the intersections of Connecticut Avenue and K Street, NW, and across from Farragut North and Farragut West Metrorail stations.

June 2 – Hidden Figures (2016) Rated PG. The Academy Award winning film tells the untold story of Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson - brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world.
June 9 – 500 Days of Summer (2009) Rated PG-13. An offbeat romantic comedy about a woman who doesn't believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her.
June 16 – Moana (2016) Rated PG. In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the Demigod Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain's daughter's island, she answers the Ocean's call to seek out the Demigod to set things right.
June 23 – The Princess Bride (1987) Rated PG. A fairy tale adventure about a beautiful young woman and her one true love. He must find her after a long separation and save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin to be reunited with each other.
June 30 – Dirty Dancing (1987) Rated PG-13. Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances "Baby" Houseman falls in love with the camp's dance instructor, Johnny Castle.
July 7 – Ghostbusters (2016) Rated PG- 13. Following a ghost invasion of Manhattan, paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann, and subway worker Patty Tolan band together to stop the otherworldly threat.
July 14 – Finding Dory (2016) Rated PG. The friendly but forgetful blue tang fish, Dory, begins a search for her long-lost parents, and everyone learns a few things about the real meaning of family along the way.
July 21 – Big (1988) Rated PG. After wishing to be made big, a teenage boy wakes the next morning to find himself mysteriously in the body of an adult.
July 28 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) Rated PG-13. Ferris Bueller has an uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago.
August 4 – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) Rated PG- 13. The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York's secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
