But with so many spas to choose from, it can often be overwhelming just to figure out where to spend your hard-earned money relaxing (an oxymoron if there ever was).     Size of Spa: The 8,400-square-foot spa houses 10 treatment rooms, including a nail suite, fitness center and pool.

    Signature Treatment: Created by the lead therapist and resident Aromatherapy expert, The Midtown Massage is a unique full-body treatment, featuring locally made Decatur-based Mama Lavender Rosemary products. Elongate and stretch sore muscles, followed by a refreshing foot scrub and reflexology and a calming scalp massage. (80 minutes at $245). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: You'll find everything under the sun at this Midtown mecca: Massages start at $160 per hour, exfoliating treatments and wraps begin at $165, facials start at $160 per hour, and nail services $45 and up. We love their seasonal treatments that draw on fresh ingredients, like honey, pears, mint and pomegranate (much of which comes from the hotel's rooftop garden).The spa is also one of only a handful in town that offer the hi-tech Hydrafacial. 

    Extra...MORE Amenities: Expect a eucalyptus steam room and dry cedar sauna in separate men's and ladies locker rooms, plus a relaxation lounge equipped with Richi tea and locally-sourced snacks, an indoor saline lap pool with jacuzzi and outdoor sun terrace, and a full fitness center featuring Technogym and Precor equipment.     Size of Spa: exhale is the largest spa in Atlanta, clocking in at  25,000 square feet, including an 8,000-square-foot gym and 15 therapy rooms. 

    Signature Treatment: The famous Core Fusion fitness classes can only be found at exhale spas, the perfect precursor to the signature Fusion Massage (starting at $135 for 60 minutes). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: In addition to a handful of fat-burning fitness classes, like yoga and Core Fusion Barre classesBoot CampCardioExtreme (HIIT) and Core Cycling classes, exhale offers a full range of spa therapies, from the signature Fusion Massage to the True Facial (starting at $150 for 60 minutes). Exhale also offers acupuncture and healing services (starting at $100 for 30 minutes).

    Size of Spa: Bliss has 5 treatment rooms plus 2 luxe nail stations taking up residence in the 3,800-square-foot spa. 

    Signature Treatment: The Triple Oxygen Facial made bliss famous for good reason. It's 75 minutes and includes a targeted peel, an energizing enzyme pack and three forms of skin-brightening oxygen, including a facial mask and O2 spray ($170). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Bliss offers a variety of skincare treatments and microdermabrasion, waxing, massage and nail care. They use their very own bliss branded products in most services and they are available for retail as well. Some of their best-known services are The blissage 75 (full body massage, $160), the ‘heel-lalujah’ pedicure (60 minutes at $70), and The Ginger Rub (105 minutes at $225 or 135 minutes at $285), a scrub and wrap using real ginger followed by a therapeutic massage. 

    Extra Amenities: There are small lounges to relax and enjoy tea (or complimentary champagne!) and...MORE snacks, outside the locker rooms, which are each equipped with a powerful steam shower. Even better? There's complimentary valet parking for all spa guests.

    Size of Spa: This uber luxe spa houses 10 ten treatment rooms.

    Signature Treatment: The Buckhead Escape - a "dual-zone" treatment designed to target both the upper and lower bodies separately with exfoliation, a moisturizing wrap for the upper body and a detoxifying clay wrap for the lower (90 minutes at $265). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Remède's range of hi-tech treatments is most impressive, as everything from waxing ($18-100) to hot stone treatments (90 minutes at $240), customized massages (60 minutes at $165), body polishes (60 minutes to $135) and facials (60 minutes at $175) are offered. All services are customizable, no two being the same, whether you're seeking something for men, pre-natal services, couples retreat packages or bridal services.

    Extra Amenities: A rejuvenating steam room and sauna round out the spacious locker rooms. Remède's service level is right on par with St. Regis' hospitality, read:...MORE "there are no limits." Additionally, guests of the hotel can request in-room nail or massage services.

    Size of Spa: One of the largest spas in Atlanta at 15,000 square feet and 13 treatment rooms, a pool, fitness center, and yoga studio.

    Signature Treatment: The Peaches and Cream Journey, a Georgia-inspired treatment that will melt away muscle tension with a skin softening apricot kernel exfoliation before a massage with aromatic cream and peach oil. The treatment ends with a blissful red clay scalp massage. (105 minutes, starts at $260).

    Variety of Treatments Offered: The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers a wide selection of facials and massages (starting at $130), nail treatments (starting at $55), spa journeys and body treatments (starting at $180), body scrubs, pre- and post-natal treatments and multi-treatment packages. The spa is the only one in Atlanta to offer the ESPA line of products and accompanying treatments, such as the Advanced Skin Radiance Facial or the male-specific Age Rebel Facial.

    Extra Amenities: One of our favorite...MORE perks at Mandarin Oriental spas is the every treatment begins with a calming foot bath. Your technician then allows you to choose your aromatherapy scent, so the entire experience is suited just to your liking. This spa has separate male and female locker rooms with relaxation and lounge areas, steam, sauna and vitality pools. The female locker room also has an outdoor terrace for spa-goers who want to order lunch from their spa menu poolside.

    Size of Spa: The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton has 4,000 square feet with six treatment rooms and a nail salon.

    Signature treatment: “Caviar Facial and Champagne Dreams”. This good-enough-to-eat treatment pampers with mimosa champagne oil, protein-rich caviar intensive repair serum, and, of course, a glass of champagne (80 minutes at $290).

    Variety of treatments offered: This luxurious spa offers massages (starting at $80 for a 25 minute On-the-Go massage and $160 for 50-minutes), facials (starting at $80), manicures (starting at $35), pedicures (starting at $55), waxing (starting at $25) and pre-natal massages (starting at $145), among many other services

    Extra amenities: Spa guests also have access to the hotel’s saline pool and fitness center area, which includes a sauna (note: it's on a different level than the spa)....MORE In addition, there’s a special menu for spa guests with healthy food options, which can be enjoyed in the relaxation lounge. Locker rooms are located both on the wellness level and at the pool and fitness center. The wellness level just launched two specialized wellness guest room suites each tailored to a different wellness goal (starting at $479 per night).     Independent Spa: Aviary Organic Beauty Collective

    Name of Spa: Aviary {organic beauty collective}

    Size of Spa: This indie spa and salon clocks in at just over 1,000 square feet, including one facial room, one massage room and three hair stations.

    Signature Treatment: Amy Leavell Bransford, owner and esthetician, is the only certified Hauschka esthetician in the state, so go for The Dr. Hauschka Classic Facial. In fact, Bransford has even visited the German farm where Dr. Hauschka grows their own biodynamic and organic ingredients. Aviary was actually the first boutique Atlanta salon and spa to offer chemically-conscious services throughout their products. They are also tightly connected with the local and global farming community.

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Organic, non-toxic treatments are the name of the game here, though that doesn't mean treatments are short on results. See the Luminary Facial, a hi-tech oxygen facial beloved by celebs for its glow-inducing properties and wrinkle reduction, for proof. Facials at Aviary start...MORE at $95, massages are $85 for 60 minutes and hair services start at $65 for a women’s cut.

    Extra Amenities: Though not as equipped as the large hotel spas, this charming and rustic spa is cozy and chockfull of high quality products and ingredients. Locally, Aviary hosts a weekly CSA through local Red Earth Farms. Bransford also serves on the board of the Community Farmers Markets.

    Size of Spa: A locally-operated chain spa, Natural Body has 14 locations, nine of which are in Georgia. Though you won't find locker rooms, steam/sauna and other amenities here, the massages are just as relaxing, the facials just as brightening. 

    Signature Treatment: The Signature Spa Day, which combines the Organic Signature Massage, Signature Facial, and the Seaweed Exfoliating Treatment, into one package offering the best bang for your buck ($230).

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Everything from full-body treatments (starting at $65), facials (starting at $100 at 60 minutes), nail services (starting at $20), massages (starting at $20), varying packages (starting at $105), and waxing services.

    Extra Amenities: Natural Body Spa and Shop is committed to their "Green Spa Pledge," offering natural services and organic products to their clients. Plus, the spas don't feel like chains. Their services are more affordable, too.

    Organic: iwi fresh Garden Day Spa

    Size of Spa: This 2,000-square foot day spa has a room dedicated to massages, as well as a facial room and eight pedicure bowls.

    Signature Treatment: The Signature Herbal Massage is their highest customer-rated service, which combines a traditional Thai massage with herbal healing and aromatherapy (starts at $55 for 30 minutes ($40 for teens).)

    Variety of Treatments Offered: iwi fresh is known for their raw, fresh-from-the-garden approach to wellness. Launched by local celebrity and "skincare chef" Yolanda Owens, who was inspired to create a natural approach to beauty remedies, iwi promotes local farms and uses their own handmade products in all of their services in their day spa, including garden facials (starting at $55 for 30 minutes), an impressive list of hand, feet and nail options (basics beginning at $38), massages (beginning at $55), haircuts and styling (basic cut beginning at $25), in addition to waxing, tinting and packages.

    Extra...MORE Amenities: iwi fresh offers a Garden Spa Membership, offering members monthly discounts on services, products, upgrades, and access to member-only workshops and events. Additionally, iwi fresh offers organic shaving and barber salon services.

    Size of Spa: Just outside of Atlanta, in Korean-heavy Duluth sits this 35,000 square-foot co-ed spa modeled after traditional Korean bathing houses. 

    Signature Treatment: To partake in the authentic Korean sauna experience, you'll purchase a day pass for $25, granting you access to their seven dry mineral saunas (rock and salt, gold and silver, jewels, rock-ice, charcoal, baked clay, jade or steam jade and traditional wood). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Beyond the saunas, Jeju offers personalized treatments including massages ($80), acupressure ($100), foot reflexology ($50), hip bath ($30) or a body shampoo known as Korean Demadi ($40).

    Extra Amenities: Beyond multiple saunas, Jeju boasts a junior Olympic size salt water pool, separate wet rooms for men and women with whirlpools, steam rooms and saunas, and even an authentic Korean restaurant offering fruit smoothies, mandu (dumplings) and traditional soups.

    Foot Massage: H Massage

    Name of Spa: H-Massage

    Size of Spa: Small and intimate, H-Massage greets you with a handful of massage chairs in the front of the building, with only a couple of private rooms in the rear.

    Signature Treatment: You've seen it in the movies, and H-Massage has it! They are known for their back-walking procedure, called the Thai massage, which involves stretching and acupressure. Though for a super affordable alternative, we recommend a foot massage up front (it's just $30 for an hour). 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Massage specialists, H-Massage offers treatments in full body (1 hour at $50), hot stone (1 hour at $60), foot massages (starting at $30 an hour), and combination massages (starting at $50 an hour). 

    Extra Amenities: Don't expect many bells and whistles here. But what H-Massage lacks in creature comforts, it makes up for in affordable, effective treatments, ranging from couples massages ($100 an hour), localized treatments (such as head, shoulders, and face - $30 for...MORE 30 minutes) and group parties.

    Signature Treatment: When you're in need of a luxurious getaway, head to nearby The Spa at Château Èlan and pamper yourself. When in Rome, go for The Château Winery Harvest Crush treatment, which draws on the antioxidant power of grapes to remove dead skin and leave you feeling refreshed. Add a Vichy shower (starting at $90 for 50 minutes or $105 with Vichy addition) for ultra luxury. 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: The Spa at Château Èlan offers everything from massage therapy (starting at $90 for 50 minutes), to facials (starting at $90 for 55 minutes), to body wraps and treatments (starting at $90 for 50 minutes) and nail services (starting at about $50). 

    Extra Amenities: A full-service spa for both men and women, Château Èlan has a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi tub, indoor heated pool, quiet room (candle-lit with blankets and...MORE recliners), complimentary fitness classes, complimentary afternoon tea, an outdoor terrace, an on-site restaurant, wine, cocktails and chocolates with certain treatments, a large waiting area with fireplace and complimentary beverages. Spa guests get access to all these amenities and other overnight guests at the resort may purchase a pass for them.

    Size of Spa: Dedicated to their ultra-girly, Barbie-esque aesthetic, Polished has two large locations lined with pedicure bowls and manicure stations prepared for walk-ins and scheduled spa parties.

    Signature Treatment: Sugar Treats, their mid-priced basic package offers a luxurious chocolate bath, soufflé scrub and Bavarian cream moisturizer ($19 manicure, $30 pedicure, $49 both).  

    Variety of Treatments Offered: Up the ante on your standard pedicure at Polished, where you'll find a wide variety of manicures, pedicures, hand and feet treatments (starting as low as $14 for a quick, basic manicure), in addition to callus treatments ($8), hot stone massages ($25 for 20 minutes), minx and gel nails (starting at $45), and waxing and threading (starting at $7). 

    Extra Amenities: Polished welcomes spa parties and large groups (you can bring in your own decorations, music, and food). They also cater to male manicure needs (cleverly titled "The...MORE Manley-cure") and services specifically for those under age ten. Additionally, they offer both a loyalty and a referral program.

    Size of Spa: Spacious yet intimate, Sweet Peach has two unique locations in Buckhead and Virginia Highlands.

    Signature Treatment: Sweet Peach is the first studio in Georgia to offer sugaring, a less intense alternative to waxing. Thus, Sweet Peach's whole approach to hair removal is arguably their signature treatment--sugaring is an ancient, all-natural practice with no preservatives or uncomfortable resin. 

    Variety of Treatments Offered: At Sweet Peach, there are few limits to the body parts you can make hairless. For the sugaring procedure, everything from eyebrow, full face, full body, abs, buttock, bikini, Brazilian and even hands, for both men and women. Sugaring services range from $10 (hands, feet, lip, ears) to $190 (full body). Waxing offers a similar variety of options, and the prices range from $5 (lip) to $100 (mens full body). 

    Extra Amenities: Aside from sugaring and waxing, Sweet Peach offers all-natural spray tanning...MORE and a line of products ranging from candles to serums to soaps. And perhaps one of our favorite perks is the in-room TVs, which play Sex and the City to distract you from all the hair pulling.

    Size of Spa: Raw boasts two locations, Raw Midtown and Raw South, both of which offer plenty of room to accommodate multiple guests at once.

    Signature Treatment: The Original Bronzing Session, a full-body application of Raw Studio's original tanning formula ($35).

    Variety of Treatments Offered: One of the only all-natural, organic spray tanning salons in Atlanta, Raw offers a variety of tanning packages without any of the cancer scares. In fact, owner and founder Tiffany Terranova (who began the studio out of her home) survived melanoma at 27, before she opened Raw. Customizable services include prep ($10), full-body bronzing, half-body bronzing ($18), rapid service for those who need a quick shower ($45) and various packages, all completed by a real human instead of a machine for perfect precision and the most natural looking glow. 

    Extra Amenities: If the all-natural tanning formula, individual approach to each client and personalized makeup services...MORE aren't enough, Raw also offers clothing within their locations if you're in the mood to shop around. The studio also offers "Raw Glam" makeup services ranging from lash extensions (starting at $175 for application) to full face makeup ($58), to bridal services ($135, $50 each for bridal party), to even makeup lessons ($150).
