Your space at the bar allows you to people watch the way it was meant to be done. That means you'll border on flirtatious glances even if you don't mean to. You move on to appetizers and before you know it dinner becomes quite sexy. While STK does steak well, it does "Las Vegas" even better and that is probably why you'll visit. No matter where you start your evening be it at the large booths which encouraged mingling to the tiny tables which encourage intimacy, when the music gets going you see a different side of Las Vegas. Open Nightly: 5:30 to Midnight 02 of 14 Pawn Yourself at Beauty & Essex Zeke Quezada The dining room is darker than you would expect considering the noise coming from every table. It is a social environment and the mood, while at first glance would be dark and romantic, is far more energetic and boozy. The food is sharable and the drinks are stiff. Start the night in the lounge to set the mood and then saunter into the dining room with some attitude. Weekends brings an ultra lounge feel to the entire place. Open Nightly: 5pm to Midnight 03 of 14 Get Eggslutty in Las Vegas Zeke Quezada If you visit Eggslut during their rush hour you’ll wait for quite a while but you will be treated to a sandwich that is better than any other you have had. This Los Angeles transplant is where the egg is worshipped so you can bet that breakfast has been transformed. By the way, eggs can and should be eaten all day so expect flavorful renditions of the egg on every item all through the day. The star of the show should be The Slut as it comes with a baguette that works well for dipping and for cradling the egg but if you need a hearty meal The Gaucho is where your attention should be. This is a steak sandwich like no other with a seared wagyu tri-tip steak, cage-free over medium egg, chimichurri sauce, red onions and dressed arugula all taken care of by a warm brioche bun. It’s a restaurant that only exists because it actually exists. What was once supposed to be an auxiliary kitchen for room service became a place for really good pizza. This is not an afterthought for a space. The dough is being crafted on a regular basis and all of the ingredients are high quality. From a sausage pizza that is actually sliced meatballs to the “Big Sexy” that is a pepperoncini, pepperoni, onion and garlic masterpiece that deserves to be taken back to your room and enjoyed on the terrace, you can expect a great meal for a low price. It's open everyday until late but don't ask for directions, it's a secret. The food is just as good as it is in the city and the views of the Las Vegas strip are astounding. Don't look away though because the food is exactly why you're here. You'll have to have the ramen that is the signature dish and if you can manage an order of the roasted duck you might as well splurge. This will be the best thing you have eaten all year. The sleek room is about ready to burst into a nightclub or an ultra lounge. The activity at Zuma Las Vegas is palpable and the energy is as close to the definition of Las Vegas as you can get. The cocktails are lively and experiential and the food draws you to mingle with the rest of the people at the table. If this is date night for you be ready to feel the need to hit a club afterward. Conveniently slip into the bar for some sake or construct your own tasting menu from the robata grill, the sushi selection and the main kitchen. It's not just dinner, it's a night out. The Spaniard grew up with communal meals and Spanish small plates. Jaleo draws you to the individual flavors while fostering conversation and a social experience. From paella to peppitos and sangria to garnacha a meal at Jaleo Las Vegas is lively, enticing and full of Spanish charm. Find a spot at the bar for a preview of your evening and watch the the chefs behind the paella grill create the large traditional Spanish dish. This eight seat restaurant is home to a special menu created by the chefs especially for the group that sits before them. The experience is exclusive and refined and a difficult reservation to garner. It’s all about a performance and the celebration of food. Continue to 9 of 14 below. 09 of 14 Culture Clash at China Poblano at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Zeke Quezada Your meal will start with a salt air margarita but will quickly become confused when the sui mai arrive and the competing flavors collaborate to introduce you to the experience that is China Poblano. This is a clash between Mexico and China that works perfectly as if you were in a high end strip mall with two world class chefs competing for your taste buds. The difference here is that Chef Jose Andres is the chef in the kitchen and his inventive mind meshes these two culinary treasures together into one. You’ll be dazzled by the paper thin jicama that wraps the guacamole in the moralitas while the rou jia mo street sandwich will tempt you to find a sidewalk to have your lunch at. Open Daily: 11:30AM - 11PM 10 of 14 Shakes, Burgers and Buns at Holsteins Las Vegas Zeke Quezada It’s not just a burger joint but you cannot go to Holsteins at Cosmopolitan and not a burger. Dry aged beef, freshly baked bun and fresh ingredients all made in house force your hand to ignore other parts of the menu. What that means is that at no time will this feel like just any other burger. The truth is that these burgers are among the very best on the Las Vegas strip. You’ll have to save room for a shake and the beer list is worthy of a seat at the bar. You should order the steak house burger, the poutine and the "Achocolypse Now" shake. If you love chocolate you love it even more after this sweet sensation finds a home in your belly. Their extensive fish selection are all flown in daily. The house specializes in Greek cuisine but the Mediterranean as a whole is on full display. You must have the octopus and Ahnisto is a seafood stew that cripples you with flavor. Taunt your senses as you look through the menu and be dazzled by the fresh fish selections available on a nightly basis. If you are there with a large party be sure to order a salted fish that is served table side. If you feel compelled to take a picture of your food this table side service is perfect for your social media accounts. Open daily: Lunch and Dinner 12 of 14 Date Night Specialty at Scarpetta Las Vegas Zeke Quezada If you love Italian food and you want a romantic setting with a view of the Las Vegas strip Scarpetta Las Vegas does it for you. There is nothing better than Italian food done right and Chef Scott Conant gets all the basics done correctly with a few gems that should be tried. The spaghetti is a signature dish that is so simple yet is a work of art. The polenta is pretty much adult candy and after you have it you'll consider trying to recreate it at home. Don't do it, it's alarming how much butter there must be in there. Have it and you’ll agree. This modern Italian restaurant also serves seared scallops that are divine and a duck foie gras ravioli that borders on illegal because it should be considered a controlled substance. Zeke Quezada Casual Italian is one way to look at D.O.C.G. but this restaurant would be your date night spot if it was in your home town. From classic entrees to superb pizza the entire menu treats your craving for Italian cuisine like a necessity. Chef Scott Conant does rustic Italian so well that you feel like this could be a restaurant in the Italian countryside. Check out the wine list and the comfortable wines of Italy collect your thoughts and make you want to learn another language. A few must haves are the porchetta that is a pork lover's dream and the sole piccata tantalizes your taste buds with fresh flavors that are enhanced with a classic Italian white wine. 14 of 14 Strange and Sweet at Milk Bar Las Vegas It may just be dessert but these addicting cookies and shakes and ice cream can alter your decision making. There is a familiar flavor to the sweet stuff coming out of this pop up bakery style treat stand that keeps you coming back. Milk Bar at Cosmopolitan is a bit of a conundrum because it is not as good as it should be and it is somewhat of a generic product yet it is satisfying at the same time.
