Corno: Art and Desire
Corno: Art and Desire 2011
Quebec native Joanne Corneau, better known as Corno, is a Canadian success story in the fine arts world, an artist whose career exploded on the international stage after moving from Montreal to New York in 1992. By 2005, her paintings traveled through Paris, London and Hong Kong. By 2009, the Montreal Jazz Festival celebrated her 30th career anniversary alongside the fest's 30th edition and today, Corno has a Montreal gallery featuring her work in exclusivity while she continues to live, and paint, in New York's SoHo neighborhood.
Art and Desire 2011 is essentially a retrospective featuring previously exhibited works, with the exception of a couple of new creations, all on display February 17 through May 15, 2011 at the Galerie Lounge of the Maison du Festival (map).
Prices for Art and Desire 2011 works range from roughly $800 to $30,000.
Admission to the exhibit is free.
