If you're visiting Long Island, New York this fall, you won't want to miss out on some of the region's best corn mazes and pumpkin patches where visitors try their luck at all the twists and turns of these living labyrinths.

Although there's a lot of fall fun to be had on Long Island, like pumpkin picking and Halloween adventures, you and your family or friends might also enjoy getting lost in the mazes and checking out the fall activities many of these local farms offer guests.

Here's a sampling of great corn mazes on Long Island, but you'll need to visit their websites for current hours of operation and pricing information before you head out on your trip. Many also offer discounts and seasonal specials online, so don't forget to check their social media accounts, too!

Regular Corn Mazes and Farms

Although incredibly close to the thriving metropolitan giant New York City, Long Island, New York has acres upon acres of farmland between its small villages and municipalities, each of which regularly hosts fall events including seasonal corn mazes. Although these sometimes change from year to year, many of the farms on Long Island have been hosting these mazes for decades!

Fairview Farm in Bridgehampton overlooks Mecox Bay and offers visitors an eight-acre maze called The MAIZE while Schmitt's Family Farm's seven-acre corn maze in Melville is paired with pumpkin picking, a treehouse slide, a pumpkin patch playground, pony rides, farm animals, and Long island's largest straw pyramid.

You can also check out Stakey's Pumpkin Farm in Riverhead (Aquebogue), which features face painting, hay rides, a bounce house, a kid-friendly corn maze, a country store, and a flower house for visitors to enjoy, and if you're looking for another kid-friendly option, Elwood Pumpkin and Christmas Tree Farm has a great children's corn maze as well as hayrides and free pumpkin picking.

Special Adventures and Destinations

If you're looking for a little bit more adventure outside of the challenge of completing a corn maze, there's also a number of great fall destinations (that also feature corn mazes) on Long Island—from haunted, themed mazes to wine-filled vineyards.

Hank's Pumpkintown is your one-stop shop for all things fall, especially Halloween—this South Fork venue offers a corn maze park that's suitable for even the youngest kids, as well as adults, and when you buy a wristband, it's an all-inclusive ticket to all-day corn mazes, unlimited wagon rides, duck races, maze games, education station, and a giant maze mountain slide (a 50-foot tube slide).

Harbes Farm & Vineyard offers visitors an entirely different type of maze adventure—here you can wander through themed mazes like the Mattituck Wizard of OZ and Barnyard Mazes, the Harbes Orchard Robin Hood and Spooky Corn Mazes, and the Jamesport PumpkinLand Corn Maze, which features live actors inside a five-acre corn patch. While you're there, you can also stop by the vineyard and sample some of Long Island's best wines!
