Enjoy family friendly outdoor movies under the stars in Columbia, Maryland. The following films will be shown on Monday and Friday nights, June through September. Movies begin at 8:30 p.m.

2016 Movie Schedule

June 13 - Rio 2 (2014) Rated G. Blue macaws Blu, Jewel and their three children are comfortably settled in the city -- perhaps too comfortably.

Jewel fears that the children are becoming more like humans than birds.

June  20 - Teddy Bear Night with Paddington (2014) Rated PG. A young Peruvian bear travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he meets the kindly Brown family, who offer him a temporary haven.

June 24 - Cinderella (2015) Rated PG. After her father unexpectedly dies, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, who reduce her to scullery maid. Despite her circumstances, she refuses to despair. An invitation to a palace ball gives Ella hope that she might reunite with the dashing stranger she met in the woods, but her stepmother prevents her from going.

June 27 - Shaun the Sheep (2015) Rated PG. All is well at Mossy Bottom Farm, except for the fact that the animals will do anything to get out of work. So, Shaun the sheep and his scheming friends devise a plan to put their master to sleep.



July 1 - James Bond Spectre. (2015) Rated PG-13. A cryptic message from the past leads James Bond  to Mexico City and Rome, where he meets the beautiful widow of an infamous criminal.

July 8 - Goosebumps (2015) Rated PG. Upset about moving from the big city to a small town, young Zach Cooper finds a silver lining when he meets his beautiful neighbor Hannah.

July 11 - Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016) Rated PG. Living large and loving life, Po realizes that he has a lot to learn if he's going to fulfill the next challenge from his beloved instructor, 

July 15 - Finding Nemo (2003) Rated G. Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. 

July 18 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) Rated G. Jealous of Snow White's beauty, the wicked queen orders the murder of her innocent stepdaughter, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with seven friendly little miners.

July 22 - Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 (2015) Rated PG-13. Realizing the stakes are no longer just for survival, Katniss Everdeen teams up with her closest friends, including Peeta, Gale and Finnick for the ultimate mission.

July 25 - The Good Dinosaur (2015) Rated PG. When a rainstorm washes poor Arlo downriver, he ends up bruised, battered and miles away from home. 

July 29 - Inside Out (2015) Rated PG. Riley is a happy, hockey-loving 11-year-old Midwestern girl, but her world turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco.

 

August 1 - Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011) Rated PG-13. Blamed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt and the entire IMF agency are disavowed by the U.S. government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. Forced to go "off the grid" -- left without resources or backup

August 5 - Jurassic World (2015) PG-13. Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex. 

August 8 -  Wreck it Ralph (2012) Rated PG. Arcade-game character Wreck-It Ralph is tired of always being the "bad guy" and losing to his "good guy" opponent, Fix-It Felix.

August 12 - Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015) Rated PG-13. With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt out in the cold, a new threat -- called the Syndicate -- soon emerges.

The Syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks.

August 15 -  Alladin (1992) Rated G. When street rat Aladdin frees a genie from a lamp, he finds his wishes granted. However, he soon finds that the evil has other plans for the lamp -- and for Princess Jasmine.

August 19 - The Incredibles (2004) Rated PG. Superheroes Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl are forced to assume mundane lives as Bob and Helen Parr after all super-powered activities have been banned by the government.

August 26 - The Martian (2015) Rated PG-13. When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney, presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet

August 27 - Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Rated PG-13. When Tony Stark jump-starts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go terribly awry, forcing him, Thor, the Incredible Hulk and the rest of the Avengers to reassemble.

September 2 - The Martian (2015) Rated PG-13. When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney, presumed dead after a fierce storm. September 3 - Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015) Rated PG-13. Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren and the First Order. When a defector named Finn crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey, a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map

September 9 - Zootopia (2016) Rated PG. From the largest elephant to the smallest shrew, the city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law.
