Tired of mundane Valentine's Day dinners with your special someone? Local live art company, DRIP, has just the thing for couples interested in a dramatically colorful experience.
The Blind Date is an artistic adventure designed to recreate the mystery of a first date. Couples will get closer with interactive games, live music, and (of course) a complimentary paint station. A full theatrical show featuring dancers performing in paint, water, and colored sand is backed by a live band.
A special edition t-shirt is also included with admission.
“We wanted to create moments for loved ones that they could remember as a time they became closer. Our creative team discussed moments in their own lives when they felt like that and realized that many of them have things in common; body contact, adventure, mystery, and raw energy. We designed a Valentine’s experience for couples that includes all of those things. ” said Jessica Marko, DRIP founder.
The Valentine's Day experience begins with each couple donning a special blindfold they can take home as a souvenir at the end of the night. Color Rooms hosted by characters from the DRIP show offer unique experiences, and each character is named after a specific color. In the Yellow room, couples play a romantic verbal game, while the Red room offers a chance for open minded couples to spice up their love life. An intimate experience involving paint takes place in the Blue room.
The sensual adventure continues with a theatrical show featuring dancers telling an emotional love story while performing in paint, flying water, and colored sand, all set to the music of a live rock band, with music composed by Blue Man Group’s David Traver. The bar menu is also colorful and features red, blue, yellow, and orange beers, cocktails, and shots, plus wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
The Blind Date is open every night from Thursday, February 11 to Sunday, February 14, 2016. Reservation times begin at 8:00 pm. Only 40 couples (21+ years and up) are allowed each day, so book your date as soon as possible.
Tickets range from $29 to $89, and guests reserving tickets by February 5, 2016 will receive $10 for use at Fairvilla's Sexy Things - Intimacy & Wellness Boutique.
