Arabica Coffee Houses
The grandfather of Cleveland coffee houses, Arabica started in 1973 with one (now closed) location in Coventry. The company has grown to 20 area locations, each with its own quirky, slightly offbeat flavor. Locations include University Circle, Little Italy, Fairmount Circle (John Carroll), Lakewood, downtown, and 116th and Detroit. A Slavic Village location (on E 65th St.) opened years ago.
All locations serve sandwiches, baked goods, soup, and other edibles and offer free Wifi access. Some locations feature live music on selected nights.

Located just off of Lincoln Park in Tremont, Lucky's is a local meeting spot, cyber cafe, and coffee house. The eatery serves tasty soups and wrap sandwiches for lunch and dinner and a hearty brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Lucky's offers free Wifi access and even cultivates their own produce and herbs in raised beds adjacent to the building during the growing season.

Dewey's Coffee Cafe, located in the NE quadrant of Shaker Square, is a cozy, friendly spot with the predictable variety of coffee offerings plus sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Sit by the fireplace or at one of the comfortable chairs inside or venture out to the curbside patio seating and walk the action on the square.

Phoenix Coffee has four locations around Cleveland: in South Euclid, on Superior Ave. in the Superior Corridor neighborhood, in Lakewood, and on Lee Road in Cleveland Hts.
The local coffee company roasts its own beans in its brewery on St. Clair Ave. and creates its own blends. Try an organic coffee, one of the artisan blends, or a fun flavored coffee. Phoenix also serves salads, sandwiches, ice cream favorites, and freshly baked pastries. Each location is unique and comfortable and all offer free Wifi access.

Caribou Coffee has ten locations in the Greater Cleveland area -- in Middleburg Hts., Rocky River, at Tower City in downtown Cleveland, in Coventry, inside of Heinen's in University Hts., at LaPlace in Beachwood and in Lakewood, Solon, and Macedonia. Most locations offer free Wifi. Some even offer drive-thru service.
In addition to coffee, the menu includes light meals and sandwiches, kids drinks, and baked goods.

Located in the heart of Tremont, at the corner of W. 11th St. and Kenilworth, Civilization has been a neighborhood institution since 1990. Housed in a historic late 19th-century building, the coffee house serves fine coffees and coffee drinks, teas, chocolates, gift baskets, and soups and sandwiches. Stop in for a drink or grab a sandwich and coffee to go.
