Cleveland's Goodtime III Sightseeing Cruises

Goodtime III - Cleveland Ohio
S. Mitchell

The Goodtime III is Cleveland's largest sightseeing vessel. The spacious, four-deck ship operates a regular schedule of Lake Erie and Cuyahoga River narrated sightseeing cruises from June through September as well as periodic theme cruises, dance cruises, and Friday happy hour cruises.

Docked next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Cleveland's East Ninth Street Pier, the ship treats visitors to a spectacular view of Cleveland's skyline as well as a relaxing cruise.

The first Goodtime ship sailed Lake Erie between 1924 and 1935 from Cleveland to Cedar Point. The line was revived in 1958 with the Goodtime II and the subsequent Goodtime III. The Goodtime ships have played host to a number of celebrities over the years, including Halle Berry, Peter Jennings, Willard Scott, and Drew Carey.

The Ship

The Goodtime III has four decks, including a spacious sun deck, a semi-enclosed 2nd deck, and an air-conditioned lower deck. The vessel can accommodate up to 1,000 passengers and features three bars, a concession stand, and two dance floors.

Regular Cleveland Sightseeing Cruises

The Goodtime III operates a regular schedule of Lake Erie and Cuyahoga River sightseeing cruises from June 15 until the end of September. The two-hour cruises travel along the downtown Lake Erie shoreline as well as the Flats and Oxbow areas of the Cuyahoga River before returning to the East Ninth Street Pier.

Special Events

In addition to the regular sightseeing schedule, the Goodtime III operates regular dance cruises, luncheon cruises, and adults-only Friday night Happy Hour Cruises. The company also hosts periodic special cruises, such as a Mother's and Father's Day brunch cruise, a 4th of July fireworks cruise, and an Octoberfest cruise.

Chartering the Goodtime III

The ship can accommodate 400-600 for dinner, 800 for a cocktail party, and 1,000 for a sightseeing cruise. The Goodtime III staff can assist with all aspects of party planning, including catering, music, flowers, and more.
