Ohio's third largest metropolis is also one of the more conservative in the Midwest, but the city's Cincinnati Gay Pride celebration draws sizable crowds from across not only the metro area but many communities throughout the state, and in neighboring Kentucky and Indiana. On Saturday, the Cincinnati Pride Parade takes place downtown at 11 am, followed by the Cincinnati Pride Festival at Sawyer Point, from noon until well into the evening.
There's a great mix of popular entertainers.
The Northern Kentucky Gay Pride Festival takes place just across the Ohio River from downtown in Covington, about a month before Cincinnati Pride. It's expected to take place in early June.
