Ever since I moved back to Huntsville in 1999, I've heard a lot of different people say that Fantasy Playhouse's"A Christmas Carol" is fantastic. You'll need to see it for yourself, just like I did.
Santa Claus Collectiion
Christmas is a big deal in one Huntsville woman's home. It started in 1955 when she bought one simple Santa Claus decoration. Now, over 50 years later, she has over 3,300 Santa Claus figures. Here's just a sample of what she has on display.

Each year, First Baptist Church in Huntsville gives a lovely gift to the community. It's the "Annual Living Christmas Tree," an inspirational concert to help us focus on the "reason for the season" and lead by Billy Orton, Minister of Music and Worship.

The first Saturday in December, Huntsville celebrates the beginning of Christmas with a huge downtown parade that features the arrival of Santa Claus. The parade is sponsored by Channel 7 WAAY-TV and is televised.
One of the most beautiful nights in Huntsville occurs on the second Saturday in December when the Twickenham Historic District is aglow with over 5,000 luminaries for their annual 'Host of Christmas Past' Homes Tour and other special events in the area.
"Host of Christmas Past" in Fayetteville
The second weekend in November, the small town of Fayetteville comes alive with its traditional "Host of Christmas Past." This friendly small town offers free parking, great food, carriage rides, homemade snow, high tea, and nonstop entertainment.
"A Country Christmas" in Nashville
Ready to take a break and get away for a day trip during this holiday season? Need a little Christmas right this very minute? Then head north to Nashville for "A Country Christmas," now in full swing at Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Back by popular demand, New York’s synchronized bevy of high-kicking Rockettes will delight Grand Ole Opry House audiences with a Radio City Christmas Spectacular through December 30, 2007.
