There is plenty to see and do when you visit Disney World for Christmas. No matter how much fun you are having at the parks, you eventually need to slow down and grab a bite. Some of Disney's most beloved dining locations host Christmas dinner, featuring special seasonal menus.
Theme Park Restaurants with Christmas Menus
While not every theme park dining location offers a special Christmas menu, all Disney World restaurants will be open on Christmas Day.
Check out the Disney World park offerings for a special Christmas menu or meal.
The Liberty Tree Tavern in the Liberty Square section of the park offers a Christmas menu for lunch and dinner on the big day. Dine at this stately colonial-style inn serving traditional New England-inspired fare. Rich wood paneling, candelabra chandeliers, large brick fireplaces, and walls lined with period portraits and curios welcome you as you eat in one of six rooms named for a popular American historical figure from colonial times.
At the Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion go celebrate the Christmas season with a hearty brew and sample the Christmas menu at lunch or dinner in Germany. You will be transported to a traditional Bavarian village as you feast on German-style fare at communal, biergarten tables while listening to the oompah beat of a lively band.
For a Christmas meal with an Italian flair for either lunch or dinner, check out Tutto Italia Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion.
Relax in the "Old World" amid murals of ancient Rome and sparkling chandeliers, while enjoying rich, textured flavors of authentic Italian dishes.
Purchase a special Candlelight Dining package that comes with guaranteed seating for Epcot's popular holiday Candlelight Processional celebration. Choose breakfast, lunch, or dinner amid several dining venue choices; reservations are highly recommended.
For dinner, go back in time to the mid-20th century to the 50's Prime Time Cafe for what will seem like a classic meal mom cooked up full of Christmas cheer in a kitschy 1950s dining room in the Echo Lake of the park..
At the Hollywood & Vine restaurant also in the Echo Lake section of the park, you can enjoy a fun-filled Christmas lunch with your favorite Playhouse Disney characters.
For a character dining experience with Safari Donald Duck and friends combined with a Christmas meal, the Tusker House offers an African-themed buffet dinner in the colorful Harambe marketplace.
Make a Reservation
If you want to dine at a table service location, a reservation is a must. This is true every day in December in Disney World. Depending on the week you go, especially if schools are out for the holiday break, the parks and restaurants will be crowded.
Take advantage of the Disney transportation system or drive your own vehicle and arrive at the designated location early. Show up late to your reservation and you may lose your place in line.
If you have forgotten to make a reservation, hit a counter service spot like Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom and have more time to enjoy the rides and attractions.
Have a Ticket
All of the Disney theme park restaurants require you to enter the park, so a valid ticket is a must.
Some of the most difficult reservations to secure for Christmas Day include the Cinderella's Royal Table, the Coral Reef, and Le Cellier. If you want to dine at one of these locations, consider booking a lunchtime instead of a dinner.
