Festive Drinks for Your Christmas Party

One of the most entertaining aspects of Christmas is — entertaining! Your guests and family will enjoy and appreciate these festive and delicious recipes celebrating the holiday season. Of course, if there's alcohol in the beverage, drink responsibly and don't let your guests drink and drive.

    Holiday Sangria

    P.F. Chang's Holiday Sangria would be a hit at any holiday party. P.F. Chang's has Arizona locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, Goodyear, Peoria and Tempe. Their corporate headquarters are here in Scottsdale, Arizona.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 oz Absolut Mandrin
    • 2 oz Merlot (use any open bottle of Merlot, be sure to check the open dates)
    • 1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
    • 1 oz cranberry juice
    • 0.5 oz pure cane syrup

    Preparation:

    Fill a wine glass with ¾ ice and set aside. In an empty pint glass (mixing glass) add mixers. Add liquor and wine. Use an empty mixing tin and roll ingredients back and forth from glass to tin without connecting the tin and glass, roll 4 times with the drink ending in the pint glass. Pour over iced wine glass (top with ice if needed). For garnish, drop in 2 slices of strawberry, 2 orange moons. Drop on top 1 Bada-Bing Cherry. Hand-grate cinnamon on top (pass cinnamon stick over grater 4 times). Yield: one cocktail.

    Mastro’s three Scottsdale locations create special cocktails to accompany their juicy steaks, fresh seafood, decadent sides and desserts. They share the recipe for the Sugar & Spice Holiday Cocktail that you can order at Mastro's Ocean Club, Mastro's Steakhouse and Mastro's City Hall. While Mastro's now has restaurants acvross the U.S., the original steakhouse is the one in North Scottsdale.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 oz. Three Olives Cake Vodka
    • 1.5 oz. RumChata
    • 1 oz. Svedka Vanilla
    • .5 oz. Akal Chai Rum
    • Heavy swirl of Whipped Cream (shake vigorously)

    Preparation:

    Build ingredients in a shaker with ice. Serve in a martini glass. For garnish, rim glass with a cinnamon and sugar combination (2 parts sugar/1 part cinnamon) and enjoy!

    Eggnog Latte

    Shamrock Farms knows how to create special holiday beverages that everyone, young and old, can enjoy. For this holiday favorite – the Eggog Latte, just substitute milk with Shamrock Farms rich and creamy eggnog. 

    Ingredients:

    • 2 cups of Shamrock Farms Eggnog
    • 1 tbs rum extract (optional)
    • 1 cup hot coffee

    Preparation:

    Heat Eggnog in a saucepan until hot but not boiling. Put coffee, rum extract (optional) and Eggnog in a blender and mix until frothy. Pour, top with whip cream and cinnamon or nutmeg. Serve warm.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 oz eggnog (eggnog can be purchased or homemade)
    • ½ oz white chocolate liqueur
    • 1 oz Southern Comfort
    • Edible gold or chocolate flakes for decoration

    Preparation:

    Mix liquid ingredients together in a shaker. Pour and serve in a snifter. Sprinkle top with edible gold or chocolate flakes. Yield: one serving.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup Shamrock Farms Milk
    • 2 tbsp. Nutella spread

    Preparation:

    Heat milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it is hot. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from the heat and stir in Nutella until well combined.

    1. Combine White Godiva Liqueur and White Crème de Menthe and shake.
    2. Float 1/2 shot Green Crème de Menthe.
    3. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 oz. Chambord
    • 1 oz. Frangelico
    • Splash of cream

    Preparation:

    Take an old fashioned or cocktail glass.
    Add ice to ingredients in a shaker and shake.
    Strain ice and pour into glass, or pour over ice.

    Note: When you shake the ingredients your cocktail won't come out a two-tone color. It will be a holiday pink! Yield: one cocktail.

    Tuaca Hot Tottie Cocktail

    The Tuaca Hot Tottie combines the vanilla citrus liqueur with fresh lemon juice and honey for a delicious new version of the traditional drink. Tuaca was created in the 16th century for Lorenzo de Medici, the legendary ruler of Florence and visionary benefactor of Renaissance art and architecture. It was rediscovered in Italy in 1938, and was introduced into the U.S. by servicemen returning from WWII. Recipe compliments of The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona. It's perfect for a Christmas holiday celebration, or just a quiet evening around the fireplace.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 ½ oz. tuaca
    • ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
    • ½ oz. honey
    • Hot water

    Preparation:

    Combine ingredients and stir. Serve in an Irish coffee glass or mug.
    Garnish with lemon rind. Yield: one hot tottie (or toddy)

    Combine first three ingredients in a shaker, pour into in a coupe glass. Float with peppermint cream. Garnish with cinnamon. This recipe makes one cocktail.

    • 1/2 ounce Crown Royal
    • 1/2 ounce Skyy vodka
    • 1/2 ounce Concentrated apple juice
    • Pinch Ground cinnamon
    • Splash Apple Pucker schnapps
    • Splash Cranberry juice
    • 1 slice Caramel-coated apple

    Preparation:

    Shake all ingredients and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a sugared rim and the caramel-coated apple. Servings: 1 martini.

    • 2 oz Orange Juice
    • 2 oz  Cranberry Juice
    • Cherry, for garnish

    Preparation:

    1. Shake all ingredients except brandy in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in a martini glass.
    2. Drizzle cherry brandy over top the other ingredients.
    3. Garnish with a cherry.
