Located 17 miles northwest of Chicago, O'Hare International Airportis one of the busiest airports in the United States. The airport was built in 1942-43, for the Douglas C-54 manufacturing plant during WWII. In 1949, it was renamed after U.S. Navy WWII flying ace Edward O'Hare.
The airport has a flight status guide with updates on the departures and arrivals eight airlines at any given time. Travelers can also type in their flight information to check on the status, all powered by data from FlightStats.
