Cheryl Rodewig has been a professional writer for the past 14 years. She was awarded for her feature writing by the Georgia Press Association at her first full-time job out of college: a photojournalist at a weekly newspaper. Since then, she's focused on travel writing, earning bylines in AARP, Modern Woman, Livability, and more. She also shares highlights from her travels on her blog. A dual U.S. and Italian citizen, Cheryl is a frequent traveler, always looking to uncover unusual yet accessible experiences she can share to inspire fellow explorers.

Experience

Cheryl Rodewig got her start in journalism shadowing soldiers on field training, where she learned the value of quick camera reflexes. Now, she's a marketer and travel writer, published with several regional, national, and international outlets, including USA Today, Fodor's, AARP, The Guardian, Roadtrippers, and the London Evening Standard. She started writing for TripSavvy in 2020.

Education

In love with words from the very beginning, Cheryl studied English Lit at Georgia College & State University, graduating summa cum laude as the chosen Outstanding Scholar of her class. A few years later, she earned her MBA at Kennesaw State University, where she has also taught digital media in person and online to aspiring brand storytellers.
