There is a variety of cruises from which visitors and locals can enjoy spectacular views of the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., during the National Cherry Blossom Festival which goes from March 20 through April 12, 2020. March 20–April 13, 2020. Board from 580 Water Street SW for these brunch, lunch, and dinner sightseeing tours. The two-to-three-hour cruise on the Potomac River includes a private table with a plated meal or buffet brunch and a dance floor with live music. Take in the cherry blossom views from the glass-enclosed boat. Brunch starts at $79.90 per person, lunch starts at $57.90 per person, and dinner starts at $74.90 (more if fireworks are included).
March 23–April 13. 2020. DC Cruises offers 45-minute narrated Cherry Blossom River Tours on weekends (and a single deck boat on weekdays). Board at 3100 K St. NW (at the Washington Harbour and the foot of 31st Street). This tour offers lovely views of the blossoms—passengers can get off the boat to see the flowers up close at the National Mall. You'll also see the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, along with the Washington Monument. Buy tickets online starting March 1 at $25 for adults, $22 for students/any government workers including military and teachers/seniors, and $12 for children ages 3–16.

The Wharf Sightseeing Cruise entails a 60-minute narrated sightseeing tour that includes the blossoms as well as monuments and landmarks, starting at $21 and offered daily from March 20 through April 13, 2020. A 50-minute sightseeing tour also departs from Georgetown Monday through Friday from March 23 to April 10, 2020, displaying the cherry blossom trees at National Mall—prices begin at $21. The 45-minute narrated Washington Monuments Cruise on weekends from March 20 to April 26, 2020, leaves from Georgetown and Alexandria and offers views of the cherry blossom trees, monuments, and historic landmarks, priced at $32 round trip or $18 one way. Or keep it simple with a 25-minute water taxi ride from The Wharf, Alexandria, Georgetown, and National Harbor, offered daily with prices from $21 round-trip or $13 one-way.
Try a three-hour sailing cruise aboard the 65-foot schooner American Spirit for a chance to see the cherry blossoms. Board at the dock by Sixth and Water Streets SW. The 2020 Cherry Blossom Day Cruises ($50) leave on April 4 and 5 at 2 p.m. and the Cherry Blossom American Spirit Fireworks Cruise ($75) takes place April 11 at 7 p.m. Food and drinks will not be available onboard to purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own (beer/wine are permitted but spirits are not).
