Each year, a portion of Uptown Charlotte is transformed into the coolest place in town - an outdoor skating ink in the shadow of skyscrapers. It's quickly becoming a holiday tradition for many, and makes a great family night or date night. They even have special date night packages to make things a little more romantic. Special birthday party packages are available as well. There is a group discount for groups larger than 16 people.

The rink is located at the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Brevard Street at The NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza. Holiday on Ice can be reached at (704)-277-2636.
Tickets may be purchased online at any time, and on-site with cash or check only. There is an ATM available on site. Without skate rental, admission is $10. With skate rental, admission is $14. Season passes are available for $50 ($40 if you have your own skates). There is no age limit, but there are no refunds if your child cannot skate. There's no time limit to how long you can skate, and your admission is good all day. You can leave and return as long as you save your admission ticket.
No one is allowed on the rink without skates (or without purchasing an admission ticket), and everyone that skates must sign a waiver.
There's no charge to just visit and watch. There are plenty of places for friends and family to sit and enjoy things outside the rink.
There is a $5 fee to sharpen skates on site.

The rink opens on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, and will be each night except Mondays and Tuesdays through December 19, and then open through the end of the year. Weeknight hours are 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
2016 has several "Date Nights," where skaters can purchase special packages, a Harry Potter themed night, a Princess night, and several appearances by Santa Claus throughout the skating season.
