Chantae Reden is an adventure travel writer and photographer based in the South Pacific. She is the author of "Moon Bali & Lombok" and "Moon French Polynesia" guidebooks published by Moon Travel Guides. She is an experienced free diver, scuba diver, surfer, and kitesurfer.


As a freelance writer and editor, Chantae's work has appeared in outlets like Travel + Leisure, VICE, Popular Mechanics, Scuba Diving Magazine, Skyscanner, and Escape. She is a guidebook author at Moon Travel Guides, an editor for Skyscanner Australia and New Zealand, and founder of The Salt Sirens, a website devoted to ocean sports and adventure travel. Her writing also includes pieces on the impact of travel on culture.


Chantae holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Southern California, where she reported on local issues for the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism's news organization.
