Dining at Disney World has recently become a lot more interesting. With the completion of the multi-year rollout of the Disney Springs dining-and-entertainment district, Disney has ratcheted up its culinary bona fides with a new collection of restaurants helmed by top celebrity chefs.
In addition, foodie families can meet many celebrity chefs at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival held every fall.

Rick Bayless at Frontera Cocina
Rick Bayless, host of PBS's "Mexico: One Plate at a Time" and six-time James Beard Foundation winner, brings his trademark modern interpretations of Mexican cuisine to his Disney World outpost. Chef Bayless offers his award-winning taste of dishes such as Oaxacan Red Chile Chicken, Salsa Verde Shrimp Enchiladas Suizas and freshly made salsas and guacamole. There’s also a quick-service taco counter.
Masaharu Morimoto at Morimoto Asia
Iron chef Masaharu Morimoto's hip, cavernous venue gets raves for its edgy pan-Asian menu. With everything from pristine sushi to noodle bowls, this eatery gives families something for everyone. The dining room is great for special occasions, offering a private, glass-walled dining space; a lounge; outdoor terrace; and a sushi bar sculpted from ash wood and hammered copper.
Kevin Dundon at Raglan Road
Master chef Kevin Dundon of PBS's "Modern Irish Food" fame delivers updated takes on Irish classic dishes while demonstrating why he's a "chef of the people." Signature dishes include Proud Pork, a generous grilled chop with traditional colcannon potato mash with cabbage, buttermilk, and onion, and the Double Joint, a cowboy cut rib-eye steak served with duck fat fries, roast veggies and a perfectly dressed salad.
Art Smith at Homecoming Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine
Art Smith, who became famous as Oprah's former personal chef, is a two-time James Beard Award winner and native son of the Sunshine State. His restaurant at Disney World specializes in southern comfort food prepared in healthy ways. Must tries include Chef Smith's famous chicken along with the shrimp and grits, fried catfish, sweet collards and a slice of divine chocolate pecan pie.
Tony Mantuano at Terralina Crafted Italian
Terralina Crafted Italian is a dining experience curated by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tony Mantuano of Bravo TV's "Top Chef Masters" fame. The menu features authentic, Italian cuisine, including a selection of artisanal, hand-tossed pizzas and Mantuano's signature antipasti platter and signature pasta dishes.
Wolfgang Puck at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe
Wolfgang Puck has been a longtime fixture at Disney World, and the Hollywood celeb chef's restaurant remains an anchor in the revamped Disney Springs. Fusion fare that blends Asian and Californian ingredients is what's on the menu in this unpretentious eatery, with dishes spanning the gamut from pastas, steak, seafood and fresh salads to wood-fired pizzas.
James and Julie Petrakis at The Polite Pig
Award-winning Orlando chefs James and Julie Petrakis own local favorite restaurants, The Ravenous Pig and Swine & Sons. They bring their talents to Disney Springs with The Polite Pig, where they serve up modern barbecue with Southern sides like mac-and-cheese and smoked corn. There's also a bourbon bar offering more than 50 selections, including a hearty selection of craft beers and cocktails.
Guy Fieri at Planet Hollywood Observatory
Food Network megastar Guy Fieri has created the sandwich and burger menu at this recently relaunched eatery. Fieri introduced a flavor-packed burger and sandwich menu as part of Planet Hollywood's larger menu offerings for the transformed Orlando flagship location.
