From parades and carnivals to photos with the Easter Bunny and egg hunts, the Phoenix area is full of festive fun this holiday season. Events in 2018 mostly take place on Easter weekend from Good Friday, March 30 through Easter Sunday, April 1, but some events take place a week or two before the holiday.

There are several places around the metro area to get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny this year. Although times may vary, you can generally find him in the middle of shopping malls and at destinations all around Phoenix every day of the week in the month leading up to Easter.

From March 7 through April 1, 2018, the Great Arizona Puppet Theater will be putting on performances of "Jack Rabbit and the Easter Basket." This musical about Peter Rabbit's cousin Jack is told entirely by puppets and appropriate for preschool through 3rd-grade kids—though parents can enjoy it, too. All tickets are only available for purchase at the theater, but you can call ahead to book reservations for your family and the box office will hold tickets for you.
The Easter Pageant at the Temple Visitors' center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints calls itself the world's largest outdoor celebration of its kind. This musical production depicts the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ through English and Spanish-language performances. Both parking and admission are free, and the performances run from March 21 through 31, 2018.
Eggstravaganza in Fountain Hills
On March 24, 2018, Golden Eagle Park in Fountain Hills will host its annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt and festival. Open to children up to 7 years old, the egg hunt includes over 15,000 colorful eggs stuffed with candy and other prizes. You'll have to bring your own basket, and you should plan to arrive early as the “main event” starts promptly at 9 a.m. Hoppy Bunny will serve as Master of Ceremonies and will be available for hugs and pictures throughout the event. Extended Hands Food Bank will be at the park serving breakfast treats. The Fountain Hills Fire Department will have trucks to climb on and firefighters to show the kids their gear.
On Saturday, March 24, 2018, the town of Florence will host its annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Heritage Park. Activities at the Easter Eggstravaganza include crafts, inflatables, and the egg hunt. The egg hunt is for children up to 12 years old and begins at 10 a.m. Enjoy a pancake breakfast with Hip Hop the Bunny at 7 a.m. where pancakes and orange juice can be purchased for a small fee.
Easter Egg Hunt at Shamrock Farms in Phoenix
On Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, 2018, Roxie's Easter Egg Hunt returns to Shamrock Farms. Events and activities include guided tours, the hunt, and visits with the farm's mascot Roxie and the East Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place during the tours on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the regular guided farm tour, you can visit a face painter and make a craft for the kids at the Welcome Barn. Reservations and pre-payment are required.
Hop and Shop in Norterra
On Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Shops at Norterra host a family street fair where kids can get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny. There's also an Easter egg scavenger hunt, a petting zoo, a kids' crafts stations, and face painting available. Events take place on Main Street in the North Phoenix neighborhood of Norterra. You can also fill your kids' Easter baskets with candy and prizes from participating shops.
On Saturday, March 24, 2018, the Dave & Buster's in Phoenix will host a Breakfast With the Easter Bunny event. Included in the price of admission (which is around $20 per person), you'll get access to the egg hunt, a breakfast buffet, photo opportunities with a roaming Easter Bunny, unlimited video game play, and a $10 Power Play card. Reservations are required to attend, as you'll get earlier access to the facilities than regular customers. Check-in starts at 8:15 a.m., breakfast is served at 8:30, the egg hunt begins at 9:15, and activities last until 10:30.
On Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 8 a.m. to noon, the city of Peoria will host its annual Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt at the Peoria Sports Complex. Free when you bring a canned good to benefit the St. Mary's Westside Food Bank Alliance, the event will feature candy hunts for eight different age groups as well as one for those with disabilities. Highlights of the event include Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, a petting zoo, pony rides, make-and-take crafts, face painting, carnival games, and inflatables. Food and beverages available for purchase.
On Saturday, March 31, 2018, Schnepf Farms will host its annual Easter event from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Easter egg hunts will be divided into age groups, and admission includes a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, train rides, carousel rides, hay rides, a petting zoo, Easter cookies, and a hot dog lunch. You'll need to make a reservation as space is limited.
On Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 9 a.m. to noon the city of Chandler will host its annual Easter celebration at the Snedigar Sportsplex. Easter egg scrambles for kids up to age 9 start at 10:30 a.m, and whoever finds the Golden Egg will receive a backpack full of goodies. Everyone joining the hunt can pick up an entry ticket for a chance to win an eggs-citing family Easter basket before the event concludes at noon. Information booths, displays, rides, interactive amusements, musical entertainment, and pictures with the Easter Bunny are also offered and admission is free.
Easter Egg-sperience at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa
On Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vertuccio Farms will host its annual Easter Egg-sperience, which includes an egg hunt, a train ride, hay maze, jump pad, and farm animals. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance for greetings and photos. Bring your own baskets. A pancake breakfast will also be available to purchase.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, 2018, the Enchanted Island Amusement Park in Phoenix will host its annual Easter egg hunts. The hunt will feature thousands of prize-filled eggs as well as 40 Grand Prize eggs. Hunters will be divided by age into several groups, and kids up to 10 years old may join the fun. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 31 and April 1, 2018, the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium, and Safari Park will host its 32nd annual Easter Egg Hunts. The hunts will be held at 1:30 p.m. for children 7 years and under and at 3:30 p.m. for all children. New Easter babies at Wildlife World in the Animal Nursery include a pair of Patagonian Cavys, Jackal pups, and a baby Wallaby. Other new youngsters on exhibit include several species of primates, deer, alpaca, a llama, and baby otters. Regular admission charges apply.
Easter at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort
From Good Friday, March 30 through Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in North Mountain Village hosts its annual Easter celebration. Resort guests and locals are invited to an Easter celebration with special appearances by the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt featuring over 1,000 toy-filled eggs. Visits with the Easter bunny start at 9 a.m. at the Falls Water Village and the Egg Hunt kicks off at 10:30 am followed by egg decorating, arts and crafts, and the Easter Bunny Ring Toss. The celebration is free, but the pools are accessible to resort guests only.
On Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can enjoy brunch and festivities at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler. For $10 per child, resort, holiday brunch, and all local guests will be given wristbands to enter to enjoy a large-scale Easter egg hunt, action stations including egg dying, face painting, a balloon twisting artist, a bounce house, and a complimentary beverage station with light snacks. Reservations are required by Monday, March 10 through the Adventure Club.
On Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the town of Ahwatukee will host its 42nd annual Easter celebration. The Easter Parade and Spring Fling include entertainment, rides, and kids activities. Proceeds from The Spring Carnival and the parade benefit local children’s programs and charities.
On Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess will host its annual Easter brunch and egg hunt. After brunch, guests may visit Bunnyland, with rides on the Bunny Express train, performances by the high-energy comedic acrobatic jugglers, Something Ridiculous magic shows by Craig Davis, a petting zoo, pony rides, a rock climbing wall, arts and crafts, a bounce house slide and appearances by Alice and her Wonderland friends.
On Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Rawhide Steakhouse in Mesa will host its annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza Celebration and buffet. The event will include a variety of family activities including Easter egg hunts, a candy corral, water balloon toss games, “Cowboy Cottontail” (Rawhide’s own Easter Bunny) pictures, and visits from nursery rhyme friends. The Easter egg hunts will be broken into three age groups up to 12 years old as well as an all-ages hunt. There is a charge for parking, the buffet, and some rides and attractions, but admission to the egg hunts and activities are free.
