Lightning McQueen, Mater, and friends returned to the big screen in 2017 with the release of "Cars 3," so of course, visitors to Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida can now get a chance to see the characters of "Cars" at various locations in the Hollywood Studios portion of the park.
Whether you take a high-speed loop like Lightning McQueen or snap a picture with Mater, you'll have a blast with these great "Cars" attractions and picks.
Alternatively, if your child just wants to experience some car-related rides and attractions, there are a number of great activities to introduce kids of all ages to the thrills of driving.

Book a Stay at Radiator Springs
Gear up for a high-octane vacation by booking a stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The Cars-themed Radiator Springs wing provides plenty of photo opportunities with life-size characters from the movies, and kids will feel the power in the Cars-themed family guest suites outfitted for adventure.
The Cozy Cone pool in the Cars section is the only one out of three at the Animation Resort offering cabanas. Not only do they offer relief from the hot summer sun, but this amenity is free!

Pixar Place in Disney's Hollywood Studios
The only remaining attraction at Disney World in Orlando dedicated to the cast of "Cars" is located in Pixar Place at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here, kids can meet the star of Disney and Pixar's "Cars 3" film Cruz Ramirez or visit their old friend Lightning McQueen.
While there's not much excitement since the Lightning McQueen & Mater Character Meet & Greet at Disney's Hollywood Studios park closed on January 4, 2016, you can at least catch a photo of your child with their favorite new character here.

Test Track at Epcot
If your "Cars" fans are a bit older and want to experience the thrill of speeding around a track at high speeds, Test Track at Disney World's Epcot Resort is the perfect ride for them. "Cars" fans will definitely enjoy zipping around the longest and fastest ride in Disney World!
Test Track takes riders through a mock-up of a real-life safety testing facility, with a few surprises thrown in for fun. This ride does have a height restriction, so use the rider switch program if your little one is not tall enough (or daring enough) to ride.
If your little one is tall enough and has already tried and enjoyed the Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, they may be ready to give Test Track a try.

Grab Lunch or Dinner at Sci-Fi Dine-In
Although there are no "Cars" characters at the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios, your "Cars" fans can get revved up at meal time with an old-fashioned drive-in experience at this popular restaurant.
Here, diners sit in a car watching classic science fiction flicks and enjoy being served by carhops, and you can even pretend your vehicle is one of the new characters in "Cars" if you want to help your children use their imaginations.
While the dining is casual, the menu is quite extensive but relatively on-par with other restaurants in terms of price. Some Disney dining plans are accepted, but advance reservations are strongly recommended as seats in this part of the park are likely to fill up.
