From Jamaica to Antigua, there are plenty of great destinations across the Caribbean that cater to tourists hoping to shed all their clothes on their vacation. If you're looking for a place to enjoy nudism during your trip, consider adding one of these nudity-friendly destinations to your travel itinerary.
Hedonism II, Jamaica
The Hedonism II resort in Jamaica is the most famous clothing-optional resort in the Caribbean. The Negril resort once cultivated an "anything goes" image. That has been toned down somewhat, but as the name indicates this is still a place where guests are encouraged to get wet, naked, and wild. Toga parties, nude weddings, and hanging out at the swim-up nude bar are part of the scene here. The Hedonism resort also sells day and night passes to adventurous non-guests.
Desire Resorts, Cancun, Mexico
Many nude resorts in the Caribbean stress that they are family friendly or cater to the mainstream nudist community and not swingers. That's not the case with Cancun's Desire Resorts—the Desire Pearl and the Desire Maya Riviera—which bill themselves as "erotic" adult destinations where couples interested in exploring "alternative lifestyles" can frolic in a 30-person jacuzzi or a Play Room located just behind the resort's nightclub bar. Both beachfront resorts are all-inclusive and "appeal to liberated upscale vacationers with a wild side and couples looking to explore their sexuality." Adults (21 and older) only.
Temptation Resort and Spa, Cancun
This "topless optional" hotel in Cancun is for over-21 couples only. In addition to semi-nude bathing, the slightly naughty atmosphere here includes a nightclub with strippers and male exotic dancers and themed events like lingerie casino nights.
Hidden Beach Resort, Riviera Maya, Mexico
Couples Tower Isle, Jamaica
Formerly Couples San Souci, this all-inclusive resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, was recently renamed for the private island that made it famous. A ferry takes guests out to Tower Island, which is a fully au naturel hideaway that provides some welcome space between nudists and the tourist who otherwise might come to gawk. Note that Tower Island is not "clothing-optional"—if you come out here, you must have all clothing off!
Couples Negril in Jamaica is one of four couples' resorts on the island, this one set amid coconut trees on a secluded stretch of white-sand beach, part of which is available to those daring to sunbathe in the nude.
Couples San Souci
Couples Sans Souci is set on the cliffs of Jamaica's coast in Ocho Rios, the design reflecting an understated colonial elegance, with intricate lattice work, white-woven furnishings, and feathered palms. It is set on 35 acres, each of the 150 suites offering ocean views. There are four restaurants and six bars, four swimming pools and a natural mineral spring. There is a small, secluded area for nude sunbathing and all manner of activities such as water sports, tennis, and golf.
Hawksbill Beach Resort, Antigua
The Rex Resorts' Hawksbill Beach Resort in Antigua has a secluded clothing-optional beach—the only one on the island. The resort has 26 rooms on 37 acres of lush property, including detached cottages. All-inclusive rates include room, drinks and dining, water sports, tennis, entertainment, and tips.
Nude Sailing and Cruises
A handful of charter yachts in the Caribbean specialize in nude cruises, such as the Boat in the Buff out of the British Virgin Islands. Such charters are especially popular for small groups looking for a degree of privacy on their vacation. Nudist and naturist groups also occasionally charter large cruise ships for nude Caribbean cruises.
