At the annual Carefree Fine Art and Wine Festival, more than 150 jury-selected artists from throughout the United States and abroad display thousands of original pieces of art in downtown Carefree, Arizona. Each year, guests will find small to life-sized bronzes, paintings, pottery, photography, baskets, wood, clay, metal sculptures, glass sculptures and more than 5,000 works of art and fine crafts.
The 25th annual event occurred on January 19 through 21, 2018 on the corner of Easy and Ho Hum Streets downtown from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Along with the art and wine tasting, several concerts also took place to keep guests entertained throughout the event.

Festival Details and Attractions
Tickets are $3 and available upon entry to the event, but children under 18 are admitted for free. If you are coming to the festival from out of town, here are a few recommended places to stay nearby.
The wine tasting part of the event includes a souvenir glass and six wine tasting tickets for $10, which can be purchased at any of the entrances or at the food and entertainment area; between one and four tickets are exchanged for each tasting, depending on the wine you select.
Microbrews are also offered, and additional tickets are available for purchase. There's also a stage with live musical entertainment where you can rest while you enjoy some local talent. For more information, visit Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival online.
Tips For Attending the Festival
If you have never attended the Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival, these tips are intended to help you know what to expect. For instance, this is not a child-oriented event as there are no attractions like face painting or petting zoos for them to enjoy.
After the early hours, the traffic coming into Carefree on festivals days can be a challenge, so remember to be patient and to plan for additional travel time this time of year. There are also various entrances to the event, so you can park at free lots and side streets located around the festival.
This festival is aptly named. Although some of the artisans offer items that almost anyone can afford, this festival has many vendors offering higher priced works of art. If you have a few thousand dollars to spend today, you'll have no problem finding a sculpture, painting, bronze, or other fine work of art.
The festival takes place on the streets of downtown Carefree, so the walking areas are generally flat. Strollers and wheelchairs are no problem. You should also try to eat before you arrive—or check out a restaurant nearby because while some food is available to purchase, it is not the focus of the event.
