Huge Outdoor Water Park at Camelback Mountain Resort

In the winter, folks flock to Camelback Mountain to ski, snowboard, and snow tube amid winter's chill. In the summer, people come to chill at the resort's huge outdoor water park, Camelbeach.

Nestled in the base of the mountain, which is part of the Poconos, the sprawling Camelbeach Waterpark features a slew of attractions. Among its thrill rides are the Triple Venom speed slides, the twin water park bowl rides, Vortex and Spin Cycle, and the mat racing slide, Checkered Flag Challenge.

The park also offers FlowRider, a wave-making attraction for both boogie boarding and stand-up surfing. 

For those who prefer tamer thrills, the park offers the Blue Nile Adventure River, an 100-foot-long lazy river, and the Kahuna Lagoon Wave Pool. And for the kids, there's Camel Cove and Pharaoh's Phortress, two interactive play area with waterfalls, kiddie slides, kid-activated sprayers, and tipping buckets. "dry" activities include a climbing wall, a freefall attraction onto a giant airbag, and bungee-jumping.

Discounts for guests under 48 inches or over 55.

2 and under are free. Season passes, group rates, and party packages are available.

Admission to Aquatopia indoor water park is included with hotel rates at Camelback Lodge. The resort often offers a special summer hotel package that includes admission to the outdoor Camelbeach Waterpark as well.
