    Butlers Orchard in Germantown, Maryland holds its annual pumpkin festival weekends throughout October. The 300-acre family owned farm is a local favorite with special activities geared towards young children. Pumpkin Harvest activities include picking a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, jumping in a hayloft barn, finding your way through a straw maze, riding down giant slides, visiting barnyard animals, and more. Enjoy the following photos and learn more about the seasonal event. 

    Butlers Orchard is located at 22200 Davis Mill Road, Germantown, MD. From I-270: Take Exit 16 – Father Hurley Blvd, Follow Route 27 Toward Damascus, Turn Right on to Brink Road, Turn left onto Wildcat Road, Turn left onto Davis Mill Road, Butler's Orchard Farm Market will be on the left. To attend the festival, drive past the market and follow the signs for parking.

    Butlers Orchard offers traditional hayrides and rides on a Cinderella's Pumpkin Coach as well as a hay maze, crafts, food, and family activities. Activities are open to the general public, as well as to school groups, girl-scout troops, church groups, home school groups, and more.

    Butler's Orchard is a popular place for families to enjoy the Halloween season. Activities are especially geared toward young children. The farm market is open and seasonal produce is available for pick-your-own outings.

    Children enjoy an array of activities including giant slides, playing on various play structures, a moonbounce, jumping in piles of hay and much more. Pumpkin Harvest Days get very busy late in the month of October. To enjoy smaller crowds, plan a visit early in the season.

    Visitors enjoy the fall decorations at Butlers Orchard. The farm is one of the largest in the Washington DC area and attracts a crowd from around the region.

    The seasonal decorations at Butlers Orchard are creative and inviting. The farm is a fun place to visit throughout the year. It is open from Easter Week until Christmas, closed December 25 until Bunnyland in the spring.

    Visitors can buy fresh fruits and vegetables, snacks and seasonal decorations at the Butlers Orchard Farm Store. It is a popular destination for pick-your-own produce including strawberries, blueberries, peas, tart cherries, blackberries, red raspberries, pumpkins, apples, peas, pumpkins and more.
