    More info below the photo...

Brisbane's Chinatown District in the area of Brisbane called Fortitude Valley is steps away from the Bunk Brisbane Hostel -- eclectic shopping, food and bench-lounging to be had on the Duncan Mall. The stone lions at the entrances (one is pictured here on Ann Street) were a gift from the People's Republic of China and are said to offer protection.

There's a saying they don't really say in Australia: put another shrimp on the barbie. At the Brisbane Bunk, they do put another Barbie on the chandeliers.
