Brittany Anas started writing in elementary school when her grandmother paid her 50 cents for every story she reported. (Back then, she'd cover neighborhood basketball games and HOA meetings).
As a professional journalist, she's worked at daily newspapers covering beats in Denver and Boulder and has won awards for her investigative work, as well as features writing. Anas has also contributed travel pieces to Men'sJournal.com, Denver Life Magazine and ShopAtHome.com's ShopBlog. As a former bartender, who worked across from the convention center, she enjoyed writing up Denver tour guides to her guests at the bar rail.
When she's not writing, Anas enjoys coaching basketball, hiking with her Boston Terrier and exploring downtown Denver.
Anas graduated from the University of Colorado - Boulder with a journalism degree. She was the editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper.
"When you love what you do, you'll make a good thing." - A 90-year-old barber Anas once interviewed for a story.
