Bricktown is a beautiful area of Oklahoma City, and many residents and tourists alike enjoy walking along the canal, but if you'd like to rest your feet a bit, see the sights and get an enjoyable history lesson as you float, a Bricktown water taxi ride is exactly what you need. Sit back and listen to your "Water Taxi Ambassador" narrate the story of Bricktown, offering pieces of information on all the area points of interest. From the beautiful waterfalls and murals on the west end, past the merriment of canal-side miniature golf, and all the way to the stunning Land Run Monument with 45 bronze sculptures, it's the perfect thing to do while in OKC's top entertainment district.
Bricktown Water Taxi Schedule
Though the weather might alter the water taxi schedule, boats run continuously every 20-30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday during the months of May through September. In July and August, those times are extended at times, as when there's a Dodgers game at the Brick outside of the regular hours.
All water taxi tickets are all-day passes. You can ride the full round trip, which takes about 40 minutes, or you can board/exit at any of the docking locations. For example, ride all the way down to the Oklahoma River Boathouse District area for outdoor activities, events and more.
Tickets can be purchased at the water taxi ticket booth, located along Mickey Mantle Drive across from the ballpark. You can also purchase by calling (405) 234-8263 or online at bricktownwatertaxi.com. A photo ID will be required when picking them up.
Current pass prices are as follows:
- Regular Pass - $11
- 65 & over - $9.50
- Active Military - $9.50
- Disabled - $9.50
- Students (6-12) - $8.50
- 5 & Under - $3.50
Where to Board
The boarding area is located just down the stairs from the ticket booth, on the west side of Mickey Mantle Drive, just across the street from the Bricktown Ballpark. After purchasing or picking up tickets, you can simply walk down the stairs to the canal for boarding.
During Oklahoma City's popular Downtown in December, Bricktown water taxi rides are free on certain nights thanks to local sponsors, allowing Bricktown visitors to enjoy the canal while viewing the beautiful holiday lights. It's a holiday experience not to be missed.
Groups & Private Charters
Are you coming to Bricktown with a group and want a private ride? Or perhaps you'd like it to be a romantic experience for two? Seating up to 40 passengers, Bricktown water taxis can be reserved for a private charter of up to 1 hour of exclusive use. Rates are $281.78 (tax and gratuity included). Charters must be paid in advance, and customers can even get a cooler with beverages for an additional fee. Call (405) 234-TAXI for more information or fill out an inquiry form online.
