La Bella Casa’s location near Cocomangas Bar (of “15 shots and still standing” fame) puts it at a prime location for heavy imbibers, but its location off of the beachfront may give beachgoers pause. Other landmarks close by include the Balabag Catholic Church and Willys, a sister beachfront resort that allows Bella Casa guests to use their beach lounge chairs.
The resort’s air-conditioned rooms come furnished with cable TV, mini-fridge, and private shower and bathtub. WiFi is available at all levels, with routers on every floor.

Jony's Beach Resort
AddressBoracay Tambisaan Jetty Port Rd, Malay, Aklan, Philippines
Phone+63 36 288 6119
Jony’s Beach Resort has been around since the Eighties - the owners may have upgraded the place, but Jony’s remains self-consciously rustic, a throwback to the old days when Boracay was definitely off the beaten track. The rooms are off the beachfront - the resort’s restaurant overlooks the beach directly, with the residential areas behind it - but the size of the rooms and the amenities included make up for the distance.
