United States North Carolina "Pick Your Own" Blueberry Farms in North Carolina Picking Your Own Blueberries in the Charlotte Area and Beyond By Artie Beaty Artie Beaty A lifelong Charlotte resident, Artie Beaty has been writing about the best of his hometown since 2011. TripSavvy's editorial guidelines Updated on 06/26/19 If you love a good batch of fresh blueberries, you're in luck in North Carolina! The state is home to plenty of farms that let you get the freshest ones available by picking your own. Blueberry picking season is usually sometime from June to late July and early August, so start checking towards the middle to end of May to find out when your favorite farm opens. The list of farms below should get you started. The list is broken down into Western North Carolina, the North Carolina coastal region, and the Charlotte area - the Piedmont or central region. For each area, about six farms are listed, and a link to a complete database to find more. What you'll find listed on this page is nowhere near a comprehensive list, or necessarily the "best" ones, it's just a sampling of some of what NC has to offer and includes farms from different areas of each region. Most of these sites do offer other fresh fruits and vegetables, and several even have other "pick your own" foods. But for each of these spots, you can pick your own blueberries. As always, it's best to check with each location's official site or give them a phone call before you head out. Hours, schedule, pricing and availability can change without notification. You can also find other "pick your own" farms in North Carolina, including strawberries, blackberries, peaches, apples and grapes. 01 of 03 NC Piedmont - Central Roban Kramer/Flickr/CC BY-SA 2.0 Mountain Farm125 Copperhead BendBurnsville, NC 28714(828) 675-4856 Buttermilk Creek Farm1905 Gwyn RoadBurlington, NC 27217(336) 212-1997Herndon Hills Farm7110 Massey Chapel RoadDurham, NC 27713(919) 544-3313 Hawk Hill Berry Farm3009 Hawk Hill RoadMebane, NC 27302(919) 280-3078 Jo's Blueberry Farm3000 Hahn-scott RoadMount Pleasant, NC 28124(704) 408-6995Blueberry Thrill Farm6938 Eaglesfield RoadGibsonville, NC 27249(336) 449-7246 Vollmer Farm677 NC Highway 98 EastBunn, NC 27508(919) 497-3076 Carver Farm Nursery105 Carver Farm RdRoxboro, NC 27573(336) 599-4901 Click here for a complete list of "pick your own" blueberry farms in the Piedmont of North Carolina. 02 of 03 Western NC Flickr/MikaS The Farm of Hendersonville2731 Chimney Rock RoadHendersonville, NC 28792(828) 696-5375 Zimmerman's Berry Farm2260 Revere RoadMarshall, NC 28753(828) 656-2056 Perry's Berry's1136 Browning View RdMorganton, NC 28655(828) 432-7631 Stoney Hollow Farm941 Ollies Creek RoadRobbinsville, NC 28771(828) 735-2983 Brushy Mountain Berry Farm7493 NC Highway 16 SMoravian Falls, NC 28654(336) 414-9958 Hickory Nut Gap Farm57 Sugar Hollow RoadFairview, NC 28730(828) 628-1027 Click here for a complete list of "pick your own" blueberry farms in Western North Carolina. 03 of 03 Coastal NC - Eastern Indigo Farms1542 Hickman Road NWCalabash, NC 28467(910) 287-6794 Jones Fruit Farm7094 Beaman Old Creek RoadWalstonburg, NC 27888(252) 747-398 Morris Brothers Blueberries Farm800 Hwy 17 NorthNew Bern, NC 28560(252) 637-6630 Carter Blueberry Farm4120 Clinton RdFayetteville, NC 28312(910) 483-1670 Owens Berry Farm1789 Southport Supply Road (Hwy 211)Shallotte, NC 28470(910) 754-4738 The Berry Patch781 Weaver RoadKenly, NC 27542(919) 525-7974 Creekside Farm300 Pine Tree RoadSelma, NC 27576(919) 965-9969 Smith's Nursery443 Sanders RoadBenson, NC 27504(919) 934-1700 Lewis Nursery & Farms, Inc6509 Gordon RoadWilmington, NC(910) 452-9659 Click here for a complete list of "pick your own" blueberry farms in Eastern (Coastal) North Carolina.
