National Capital Tour de Cure

The American Diabetes Association hosts its annual National Capital Tour de Cure bicycling event in Reston, Virginia to support diabetes awareness, education, research, and advocacy.
The Tour de Cure is not a race, but rather a ride that encourages people of all experience levels to participate in an event to raise the level of awareness about diabetes.
DC Bike Ride
May 14, 2017 - Washington DC
The recreational ride offers a unique car-free tour of our nation’s capital. Riders will pedal by some of the world’s most iconic sites while on the 20-mile course, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. This year, DC Bike Ride features on-course entertainment to “up the fun from start to finish.” The ride culminates with a Finish Festival, located on Pennsylvania Avenue between 4th St. NW and 6th St. NW.
Bike to Work Day
May 19, 2017 – Washington DC
Each May thousands of Washington, DC commuters participate in Bike to Work Day, an annual celebration sponsored by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and Commuter Connections to encourage bicycling as a “clean, fun and healthy way to get to work.” The organizations set up pit stops around the region that offer breakfast, entertainment, safety tips and chances to win bicycles and other prizes.
U.S. Air Force Cycling Classic
June 10-11, 2017 – Crystal City, VA
The U.S. Air Force Cycling Classic is a two-day cycling event including Pro races for qualified professionals, and the Crystal Ride, a non-competitive ride for cycling enthusiasts of all abilities. The weekend's race festivities are open to cycling enthusiasts of all abilities and will feature events for cycling professionals, amateurs, kids and spectators.
