Bethany 66 Festival

In Short:

Each year, the city of Bethany, Oklahoma celebrates with the Bethany 66 Festival downtown, a family-friendly event that features live entertainment, car show, children's area, arts & crafts vendors, food and more.  Sponsored by the Bethany Improvement Foundation, the festival is held in late May.

2017 Dates and Times:

The 7th annual Bethany 66 Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 27.

  At 6:30 p.m. the night before, cars, trucks and motorcycles will cruise from downtown Bethany around Lake Overholser.  There will also be unplugged concerts in the parking lot that night, beginning around 7 p.m.

Location & Directions:

The 66 in the name of the event refers to Route 66, of course, and the celebration is held along the iconic street in downtown Bethany.  Follow NW 39th Expressway to downtown, just east the Bethany Children's Center and south of Southern Nazarene University.  The live entertainment stage is between Asbury and College Avenues, and the swap meet is on on NW 38th Street.

The entertainment stage for the Bethany 66 Festival includes the following performers on Saturday:

  • 12:15 - 12:45 p.m. TBA
  • 1:00-1:45 p.m. TBA
  • 2:00-2:45 p.m. TBA

Vendors:

With a number of retail items, including arts & crafts, the Bethany 66 Festival list of vendors is large and diverse.

  It features chiropractic services, banking, leather, nails, lawn & garden, books and much more.  There are also popular names such as Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Avon and Tupperware.

Activities:

In addition to the live entertainment, food and shopping, visitors to the Bethany 66 Festival enjoy a car/truck/motorcycle show, swap meet and the Buckboard quilt show and sale.

  Also, the Children's Princess/Action Hero Parade begins from NW 39th Expressway and Asbury at 11 a.m.

Registration & More Information:

Food vendor registration is $100 while retail, arts and crafts vendor registration is $50.  An entry into the car/truck/motorcycle show costs $15 before May 1st, $20 after.  Register in the swap meet for $25.  Forms are available online at bethany66.com.
