In the evenings, the scenic Eclipse bar offers handcrafted cocktails in a relaxed lounge setting on the top floor of the hotel.
Best for Skiing: W Aspen
This newly opened property is the latest luxury hotel addition at the slopes of Aspen, one of the most famous ski towns in the U.S. The hotel is located right at the base of the ski lifts, providing some of easiest slope access in the area. The property highlight — and one of the most fashionable spots in town for apres-ski and nightlife — is the rooftop lounge bar. This noteworthy space offers panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains, and guests can unwind at the cocktail bar, in the heated pool and hot tub, or on the couches and cabanas surrounding the fire pits.
In the evenings, DJs pump up the music that transforms the space into a lively nightclub. There is also the Living Room for a more relaxed and tranquil wining and dining experience, while the 39 Degrees Bar on the ground floor offers a more grungy, underground vibe. The 88 guest rooms are more subdued than at other W hotels, with a minimalist feel and a refined color scheme of greys and muted orange or blue.
