MAM Resale
One of the larger resale shops in the Houston area, MAM is a great place to go if you want to stretch your legs and explore the store's vast inventory of clothing, furniture and other household items. A small Lady's Boutique is located in the back, where you can check out their collection of dresses, purses and shoes, and the well-organized book selection rivals that of a used book store.
The proceeds from sales go to Memorial Assistance Ministry programs in Houston.

Value Village
If there were ever a prototypical thrift store, Value Village would be it. Walking in, visitors are hit with piles of items, all positioned in a labyrinth beginning at the front door. The store offers a wide range of merchandise — both in terms of category (clothing, housewares, books, etc.) as well as quality of condition. But like any secondhand store, treasures can be found if you're willing to dig.
They have a ton of clothes — which range from fantastic to curious — all color coordinated and organized by type. Most can be had for less than $15.
