After making it through a St. Louis winter, it's nice to celebrate the coming of spring. St. Louis offers up some fun festivals that will have you ready to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather.

From food festivals and art fairs to butterflies and even kite-flying, there are many ways to enjoy the season.

1. March Morpho Mania
March 1-31, 2016
This month long celebration at the Butterfly House in Chesterfield is a great way to enjoy a bit of the tropics.

Walk through the glass conservatory to see the thousands of Blue Morpho butterflies from Costa Rica. Morpho Mania is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children.

2. Eckert's Wine & Food Festival
March 5-6, 2016
Eckert's hosts a spring festival for food and wine lovers at its Country Store in Belleville. There are cooking demontrations, food samples and a wine tasting room. Tickets are $20 to sample 30 varieties of wine and craft beer.

3. Art in Bloom
March 11-13, 2016
Art in Bloom at the St. Louis Art Museum pairs 35 top works from the museum's collection with beautiful floral displays from local designers. The three day festival also includes floral demonstrations, live music and children's activities.

4. Hermann Wurstfest
March 19-20, 2016
Hungry for bratwurst, knockwurst or weisswurst? The small German town of Hermann, Missouri, celebrates all things sausage at its annual Wurstfest.

There are sausage-making competitions, German music, dancing and even a Wiener Dog Derby.

5. Queeny Park Spring Art Fair
April 1-3, 2016
The Spring Art Fair at Queeny Park in St. Louis County brings together more than 130 artists from across the region. They display and sell their sculptures, paintings, pottery and other works of art.

Admission is $5 a person.

6. Confluence Tower Wind Festival
April 9, 2016
Bring your kites for a day of fun the Confluence Tower Wind Festival. The Gateway Kite Club will also be on hand to offer expert help. The Confluence Tower is located at the meeting of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in Hartford, Illinois.

7. Augusta Plein Air Art Festival
April 21-May 1, 2016
The Augusta Plein Air Arts Festival is an annual celebration in Missouri wine country. Festival events are held at wineries in several communities. More than 100 artists create works as you watch. If you see one you really like, you can buy it to take home.

8. Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival
April 22-23, 2016
Music lovers can hear some great tunes at the Greater St. Louis Jazz Festival at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Headliners this year are John Pizzarelli and the M.F. All Star Band. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children and students.

9. Earth Day Celebration
April 24, 2016
St. Louis celebrates Earth Day with a big festival in Forest Park. There is music, food, performance art and children's activities. Local organizations also set up booths to educate everyone about the easiest ways to recycle in St. Louis.

10. St. Louis Microfest Beer Festival
May 6-7, 2016
Beer lovers can sample the area's finest brews St.

Louis Microfest. The festival includes a wide variety international and craft beers for tasting. There's also food, live music, a silent auction and brewing demonstrations.
