Each of the 17 rooms at the historic, Riverwalk Vista has panoramic views of downtown San Antonio from the sprawling floor-to-ceiling windows. Leather furniture, spa bathrobes, and extra touches like teddy bears on the bed, rubber ducks in the shower and handmade blankets add to its charm. Free breakfast is included, as is wine at the 5 p.m. happy hour, not to mention the late night cookies and beverages are on the house, too. The hotel is light on additional amenities, but there are plenty of cozy public spaces to curl up with a good book. There is no fitness center or pool on the property, but guests can use these facilities at a sister hotel free of charge. Although there are elevators in the building, being an older hotel, it is not entirely handicap accessible.
