United States Florida Miami's Best Rooftop Bars By Allison Ramirez Allison Ramirez Allison is a writer from South Florida with over 10 years of experience who has been contributing to TripSavvy since 2018. TripSavvy's editorial guidelines Updated on 09/19/19 Everyone loves a good rooftop. Whether it’s summer or winter — who are we kidding, winter in Miami doesn’t exist! — there’s always a reason to celebrate seven days a week and here we’ll share the perfect spots to imbibe, converse and take in all the Magic City views. 01 of 10 Sugar at the EAST Hotel EAST Miami View Map Address 788 Brickell Plaza #40, Miami, FL 33131, USA Get directions Phone +1 786-805-4655 Web Visit website This one’s cool because you can do a little Brickell City Centre shopping first. The elevator for Sugar is actually located within the mall so take a walk (and get your steps in!) and then head upstairs to the 40th floor rooftop bar and garden for Asian fusion tapas and cocktails or a glass of wine. The panoramic views of downtown Miami’s skyline and the bay below are stunning, but beware on a night that’s a little extra windy — you may want to think that sundress look unless you’re planning to wear shorts underneath. Otherwise, Sugar is a good time all the time and one of the prettiest places in Miami to hangout. 02 of 10 Lifehouse Hotel Life House Hotels View Map Address 528 SW 9th Ave, Miami, FL 33130, USA Get directions Phone +1 866-466-7534 Web Visit website This new boutique-style hotel in Little Havana is tech-forward, well designed and, most importantly, the perfect place to meet other creatives and likeminded travelers. The rooftop, which is opening this spring, will include a chic bar/restaurant and pool area with a side of spectacular city views. Though this rooftop terrace is just a few floors up, it’s the only one of its kind in the neighborhood for now. And on the very bright side, it’s a neighborhood that’s growing at a rapid-fire pace and is alive with tequila bars, salsa dancing, lots of art, ice cream and more. 03 of 10 No. 3 Social No. 3 Social View Map Address ROOFTOP, 50 NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33127, USA Get directions Phone +1 305-222-7768 Web Visit website Expect to enjoy a live band or a thoughtfully-curated playlist Tuesday through Sunday at this rooftop in Wynwood. No. 3 Social boasts an exceptional social hour six days a week (Tuesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and offers cocktails, beer, wine and a small but mighty food menu that includes Coconut Citrus Ceviche made with local fish and Peruvian purple potato chips, Tostada for a Gardener (with roasted corn, summer squash, pickled jalapeno and lime crema) and a Pu-Pu Platter (with black bean hummus, bao and BBQ pulled pork sliders). Our suggestion is to hop over here on a weekday; weekends in Wynwood are fun, but very, very crowded. 04 of 10 Cibo Wine Bar South Beach Cibo Wine Bar View Map Address 200 South Pointe Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA Get directions Phone +1 305-987-6060 Web Visit website This wine bar/restaurant gives off major Eataly NYC vibes and for this we are grateful. When you can’t get away to the Big Apple, enjoy the best of that big city feel in South Beach’s South of Fifth (SoFi) neighborhood. The biggest Italian restaurant on the beach, Cibo Wine Bar (at 12,000 sq. ft. of space) is home to over 3,500 bottles of wine. Before you head up to the roof, though, you might just be lucky enough to catch the restaurant’s wine angel harnessed in a glass enclosure flying into the air to retrieve a special bottle. This is definitely a highlight here. Visit on a Thursday and take advantage of the Cibo Sociale happy hour that includes big drinks, small bites and a sweeping view of South Beach. You might least expect a rooftop restaurant and lounge to be sitting atop a designer parking garage, but here we are and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. Located on Lincoln Road, Juvia is the place for people watching and its purple interiors (plus the lush greenery on the outdoor terrace) is the perfect excuse to pull out your camera. Watch the sunset here or come for brunch. The weekend brunch menu has a three-course prix fixe option that includes bottomless mimosas, bellinis or the tried-and-true classic glass(es) of prosecco. 06 of 10 Ocho at Soho Beach House Soho Beach House View Map Address 4385 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140, USA Get directions Phone +1 786-507-7900 Web Visit website This one requires a membership or an invite, but exclusivity can be all the rage in a place where running into friends or acquaintances on a daily basis is pretty much the norm. At Soho Beach House on Miami Beach, take the elevator to Ocho, the eighth-floor rooftop terrace bar, and bask in the glory of a plunge pool, Florida sunshine, and shimmering ocean views. With lounge beds and full waiter service, why would you ever want to leave this rooftop? 07 of 10 E11EVEN Rooftop E11EVEN View Map Address 15 NE 11th St, Miami, FL 33132, USA Get directions Maybe the most interesting *rooftop* on this list, E11EVEN, is a 24-hour night club of sorts, a Downtown Miami after-hours space with DJs, LED video screens, bottle service, and VIP rooms. Oh and also, the girls who work here are very scantily clad. So if you’re looking for a rooftop with a side of risque, this is the place for you. Would you be shocked if we tell you that food is also served here? Because it is. Rooftop indoor and outdoor seating is available at E11EVEN Wednesday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. and the menu includes everything from vodka pizza, spicy tuna tacos and sushi rolls to chicken and waffles. 08 of 10 TH Rooftop at Townhouse Townhouse Miami View Map Address 150 20th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139-1904, USA Get directions Phone +1 305-534-3800 Stacked above the Townhouse Hotel on Collins Avenue in South Beach, you’ll find a fifth-floor rooftop bar inspired by Key Biscayne’s Cape Florida Lighthouse. With panoramic views of the beach and beyond, the TH Rooftop is atmospheric in all the right ways without being pretentious. The music here varies from evening to evening and the drink menu includes craft cocktails and rare beers. Try a creative cocktail; with names like Reba McEntire (a refreshing peachy Bourbon cocktail) and Clavo Sucio (a delightful Mezcal drink on the rocks), they’re sure to be fun and delicious. Guests can sip their drinks while being served delicious bites from the adjacent local ramen and burger hotspot, Ramen Baby Burger. The gorgeous open-air restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The Area 31 Terrace hosts weekly happy hour, taking place Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday's Social Hour features live musical performances, DJs and food and drink specials, from 5 p.m. to close. Pop in for al fresco dining and a glass of bubbly or an imaginative seasonal cocktail by lead bartender AJ Sedjat. The seafood-centered menu, by Executive Chef Alex Olivier, has a sustainability certification from the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch, which adds just one more level of cool to the already-happening Area 31. 10 of 10 1 Hotel South Beach 1 Hotel South Beach View Map Address 2341 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA Get directions Phone +1 833-625-3111 Web Visit website Last, but definitely not least, the 1 Hotel South Beach is nice because it offers an adults-only rooftop pool experience. On the 70,000-square-foot deck space you’ll find daybeds, cabanas and Watr, a Peruvian-influenced Japanese restaurant with 360-degree ocean views. Not only is the rooftop here a great place to watch the sunset, it’s just an overall amazing spot to spend the day. Relax in the sun or take shelter in a cabana without children screaming and running around. Recharge with a cocktail or a tall glass of water. You’re guaranteed to leave the 1 Hotel’s rooftop with fewer wrinkles, if you had any to begin with. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know! Share Pin Email Tell us why!
