The outdoor area has a stone patio adorned with tall, century-old oak trees. Hundreds of small white lights adorn the oak trees and iron gates, which makes it feel very festive at night.     Barr Mansion is a family-owned business that has been in Austin for over 20 years. Get married in the intimate rose garden or the elegant Artisan Ballroom, which features a dramatic all-glass front. Groups up to 75 can fit in the Victorian mansion, which was built in 1898 and features gingerbread porches. Its rooms work well for rehearsal dinners or dressing rooms. The ballroom is suited to groups of 75-200. If you have a large group, the celebration can include the patio, or the staff can even set up a 2,400-square-foot canopy.     The Umlauf Sculpture Garden is a beautiful place to get married in Austin if you want a natural setting near the city center, and it is certainly one of the most unusual wedding venues in town. It has a xeriscaped garden filled with sculptures from acclaimed artist Charles Umlauf. The outdoor area contains an arbor especially for weddings, and it overlooks a lily pond with a waterfall and wooded hills in the distance. The outdoor terrace can accommodate up to 200 guests. For receptions, the Roberta Crenshaw Building, which is glass-enclosed, can accommodate 40 people for a small event, or around 30 guests for a seated dinner.     The Mayfield Park and Preserve is a peaceful area located near Austin's city center. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The grounds were given to the city in 1971 by the owner, and the property is now a public park that can be reserved for weddings. It features two acres of gardens that contain palm trees and a large pond with water lilies, and beautiful peacocks roam the grounds. There are also 21 acres of nature preserve that contain wildlife and walking trails. The cottage on the grounds was built in the 1870s and can be rented out in addition to the gardens.     The Palm Door is a beautiful and versatile events venue often used for weddings. It has beautiful architecture, with wood floors and beams and 14-foot vaulted ceilings. It can look like a funky warehouse or the staff can drape it in fabric for an elegant look. It is one of the few downtown wedding venues that is not a hotel ballroom. The facility also allows outside food and beverages. The interior has a main room and gallery that can hold 300 people standing, or 150-175 people for a seated dinner. Using rows of chairs, it can fit 200 people. The exterior decks run the length of the building and overlook Waller Creek. The back of the house has a private bride’s room with its own bathroom.
