The Albuquerque area has a number of swimming pools open to the public. The county of Bernalillo operates one indoor pool, three outdoor pools, and a spray park. Some of the pools even offer free swim passes on a first-come, first-served basis while they last. If you're not in the mood for actually swimming, but still want to stay cool, the Alameda Spray Park is just one of several water parks in the Albuquerque area.
Summer pool programs include swim lessons, swim team competitions, and rentals for group events like birthday parties. The county's aquatic program offers senior water aerobics, water safety instruction, masters swimming classes, and Red Cross lifeguard training. All the county's pools and the Alameda Spray Park offer special discounts for kids, seniors, and veterans. Check Bernalillo County Pools for schedules and rates.
