Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre first opened its doors in 1973. Located in College Park, the theatre was part of a chain of dinner theatres built by Louisville contractor J. Scott Talbott. It was called "Beef" because of the delicious hand carved roast beef served before the performances, and "Boards" referring to the boards or stage of a theatre. The theater is privately owned now and is the sole remaining Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre.

Run for your Wife
Run for Your Wife has gained the distinct honor of being one of the funniest show ever performed at the theatre. Imagine trying to juggle two marriages. In this zany comedy, a cab driver tries to do just late. Chaos ensues as one mistake leads to another and his life unravels. The play is rated PG-13 for adult humor.

Who doesn't love a good nun musical? I(And it's not the Sound of Music). Based on the movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, this musical is the story of lounge singer, Deloris Van Cartier. After witnessing a crime, Deloris is placed in the Witness Protection program where nobody expects to find her - a convent! She finds herself surprisingly helpful when she comes to the aid of the church choir. Nominated for five Tony Awards, this show is rated PG.

Guys and Dolls
Nathan Detroit is a gambler with a mission. His goal? Setting up the largest game of craps in New York City. His girlfriend, Adelaide, is also trying to get him to settle down. His buddies are no help as they too find themselves bitten by the love bug. Guys and Dolls is rated PG.

Beauty and the Beast
Based on the Disney animated movie, Beauty and the Beast is the story of a misfit peasant girl whose love for books keeps her head in the clouds. When Belle's father goes missing, she discovers he's being held by a horrid beast. As she gets to know the beast more, she realizes that true love knows no boundaries. This performance is the family production, with $10 discounts for all children ages 3-15. Beauty and the Beast is rated G.

Church Basement Ladies
There's nothing like church lady gossip and these ladies have plenty of it! The Church Basement Ladies returns to Beef & Boards. Life as they know it in Minnesota is changing in 1965 and these ladies must learn to adapt! Church Basement Ladies is rated PG.

Menopause the Musical
It's the musical that has been delighted women "of a certain age" for years! Menopause the Musical dares to go where no musical has gone before! Follow the story of four different women who find themselves struggling through "the change". This hilarious celebration of women is rated PG-13 for adult humor.

Into the Woods
Beef & Boards debuts the Stephen Sondheim musical, Into the Woods. Classic fairy tales all converge in the woods, including a baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. Their wishes may come true – but happily ever after comes at a price. Into the Woods is rated PG-13.

A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol returns this year to Beef & Boards. It's the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge - an old miser who has grown bitter and cold. His heart is stone, but when ghostly visions appear to him on Christmas Eve, he discovers the error of his ways. This one hour production has been enhanced with holiday carols.
