Beaches Negril Resort & Spa has 1400 feet of shore on seven-mile Negril Beach, on the west side of Jamaica. Guests can stroll along the beach to reach some of Negril's shops and restaurants.

This coast is more sheltered than the north side of the island. However, the trip from Montego Bay airport is longer: 81 km, which takes about an hour. Alternatively, gusets can hop on a short flight: some Beaches Negril promotions include this flight.

Beaches Negril is not a giant property, but does have room and suite categories to fit a variety of families, including suites that can sleep up to twelve with three bedrooms and four full bathrooms. All suites include concierge service; butler service is available with certain suites and guestrooms.

For families with little kids, for several years an added bonus of a stay at Beaches resorts has been its partnership with the Sesame Street tv show that's reached out to generations of kids. At Beaches Negril, regular character appearances give kids a chance to meet'n'greet their favorite Sesame Street pals. Kids can also do daily activities such as story-time with Elmo, cookie-making with Cookie Monster, and more. In addition, Sesame Street characters stage live shows including special seasonal productions. Read more about Sesame Street at Beaches Resorts.

In addition to its Sesame Street activities, Beaches Negril has many activities for kids and teens which are signature features of the Beaches family resort brand, and which are part of the all inclusive experience.

Kids programs serve several different age groups, so kids can be sure of activities that suit just the right age. Infant care is also provided. Hours for kids programs for older kids may extend through the evening; meanwhile, evening nanny care can also be arranged after-hours (at an additional charge).

Teens and tween have some special activities and hangouts: Trench Town has games and giant tvs; Club Liquid has music and no-liquor cocktails (and becomes an adult nightclub late at night); the Game Garage has state-of-the-art games; and at the Scratch DJ Academy kids can mix and blend msic on CD's, vinyl, or their iPods.
