Where Is The Party In Las Vegas?

When you look to celebrate in Las Vegas everybody defines a good time in a different way. A party does not always mean a large group of people in a crowded club in Las Vegas. Sometimes a party is a few friends around a table having a great wine and good conversation. Las Vegas allows you to define your own party. If you are looking for the right place to turn on the celebration I might have a few places that will interest you.

My ideas range from the popular nightclubs to the bars in restaurants where good food and great cocktails make for an incredible evening. There are are a couple of dive bars in there as well as a pub or two. Find your own party in Las Vegas.

Part of the 100 Days of Fun This Summer in Las Vegas

You might have your own ideas so make sure to send them to me and I’ll expand this list to include every spot that feels like the right place to be when it comes time to get the party started in Las Vegas.

What Type of party are you looking for? (Scroll Down for Ideas)

    • Party in a Las Vegas Cantina
    • Party in a Las Vegas Hotel Bar
    • Party in a Las Vegas Restaurant Bar
    • Party While watching a sporting event
    • Party in a Las Vegas nightclub
    • Cocktails and Beers in Las Vegas
    • The Las Vegas Lounge Party

77 Places to Party in Las Vegas

These are a few of my favorite spots to stop in for a drink and some socializing:

    • Fusion Bar at Palazzo - It may seem like a small casino bar but the cocktails are among the best on the Las Vegas strip.
    • Marquee Nightclub at Cosmopolitan - It’s the hottest nightclub in Las Vegas and you will be guaranteed a party.
    • Lily Bar and Lounge - No cover and a place to sit. It’s nice, it’s fancy but it is also a bit more laid back and casual. When you want a party to feel expensive without having to buy a bottle at a table.
    • Carnaval Court - This is that spot where you can get louder than you think you should and the beers are cheap. It’s fun, casual and lacks the pretentious velvet ropes of Las Vegas.
    • Parasol Down at Wynn - This is my middle of the day choice for an outdoor drink that turns in to a party in Las Vegas spot. One stiff drink with a view of the water and the sun in your eyes and you’ll be in full Vegas party mode.
    • Level 107 at Stratosphere - The view will set the tone for your party. The drinks and some snacks will make you stay too long. High above the strip with a casual atmosphere that screams at you to have fun.
    • Absinthe at Sage at ARIA - You need to be ready for this type of fun. The Absinthe will get your party started and you’ll be unleashed. Prepare yourself for a long dose of Las Vegas action.
    • Beers at Public House - The beer list is insane! What else do you need to know? Start the party already!
    • Peppermill Fireside Lounge - Go old school in Las Vegas. I hope this place never closes and after you head in and find a seat in the big booths or by the fire you’ll never want to see it leave the Las Vegas strip either.
    • Nine Fine Irishmen at NY/NY - When the music is playing and the Guinness is flowing this place is so much fun you’ll want to seek out very Irish Pub in your neighborhood. Right around the corner is the Park Las Vegas where the party is even bigger with plenty of outdoor spots to have a drink.
    • Rhumbar at Mirage - You’ll feel the heat of the volcano and the music will convince you to start dancing.
    • Casa Fuente at the Forum Shops - A mojito, Cigar and some Cuban music and you might forget that you are in Las Vegas. Lounge and you’ll feel your very own party about to start.

Do you need even more ideas? This is the rest of the list of places to start your Las Vegas party. Be careful and pace yourself as each of these places has the ability to convince you to keep coming back to Las Vegas over and over. The world is a big place and you might miss out on a few things if you always need to find a party in Las Vegas. Wait, you can see an Eiffel Tower, a Castle, A Volcano, a Pyramid, The Statue of Liberty, Venice, Rome…you don’t need to go anywhere else. Make your way through the entire list before you visit some other place that will not be even half as much fun as Las Vegas.

Party in Las Vegas: The Cantina

Sometimes you want a little south of the border excitement and Las Vegas has its share of spots for Mexican Cantina fun. Work on that high school Spanish and start practicing your drink ordering phrases.

    The Las Vegas Cantina:

    • Carlos and Charlie’s at Flamingo - This is the type of party that you might remember from your spring break in Mexico days. This is the super fun, casual, party atmosphere that will cost you less than a club and help you work on your dance moves.
    • Hussong’s Cantina - Tequila, Mexican beer, and guacamole. I actually like starting my evening at the bar with some tacos and a margarita. Have a shot and your Las Vegas party will get going very quickly.
    • Tacos and Tequila - Two shots and two tacos and your party is off to a good start.
    • Diablo’s Cantina - The people watching is great and a seat near the deck gets you a view of the Las Vegas strip. Check out the hourly specials and feel free to indulge in way too many chips and Mexican beers.
    • Cabo Wabo Cantina Planet Hollywood - One Waborita will always lead to three. The music is loud and the crowd is always willing to have a good time. Sit outside on the patio and work on your tan as you sip on the tequila.
    • Senor Frog’s at Treasure Island - Yeah, just like in Mexico only the rules here are enforced a bit more. So, don't do anything you would do in Mexico and you'll be fine.

Party in Las Vegas: The Hotel Bar

Every hotel has a bar but in Las Vegas, some are a lot better than others. On the Las Vegas strip, the hotel bars are plentiful. These are some of my favorites but there are plenty more where this list came from.

    • Chandelier Bar at Cosmopolitan - It's the Multi-level fancy looking thing in the middle of the casino. Don't let all the glass fool you, they have some very good cocktails at the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan. You might have so much fun you'll forget your plans for the evening.
    • Fusion Bar at Palazzo - It may seem like a small casino bar but the cocktails are among the best on the Las Vegas strip.
    • Parasol Down at Wynn - This is my middle of the day choice for an outdoor drink that turns in to a party in Las Vegas spot. One stiff drink with a view of the water and the sun in your eyes and you’ll be in full Vegas party mode.
    • Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental - You'll go there for the view but soon you'll stay just for the atmosphere. Cool, relaxed, modern and elegant all at once.
    • View Bar at ARIA - In the heart of the action at CityCenter this bar is the meeting point for many so you might want to practice your mingling skills. The party almost always gets started here.
    • Bar Vdara - I love the way Vdara is secluded and boutique and the bar does something special for me. It's grown up, it's comfortable and it is perfect for that drink before dinner or the afternoon conversation.
    • Lily Bar and Lounge - No cover and a place to sit. It’s nice, it’s fancy but it is also a bit more laid back and casual. When you want a party to feel expensive without having to buy a bottle at a table.
    • Level 107 at Stratosphere - The view will set the tone for your party. The drinks and some snacks will make you stay too long. High above the strip with a casual atmosphere that screams at you to have fun.
    • Eye Candy Sound Bar and Lounge - It's a fancy casino bar that fills up with people in for conventions and those starting the night with a drink. Come in later in the evening and the lounge transforms into a pseudo-club with a lot of Vegas action and some casual observers.
    • Eastside Lounge at Encore - It's all about your drink and a view of the pool. Slow it down and you'll see why I sit here way too often and just zone out.
    • Revolution Lounge at Mirage -The Beatles theme and a few cocktails just off the casino floor is a good spot to meet up before or after a show. You won't stay here all night but you will consider a second cocktail.

    • Red Square - The ice bar, some Vodka and the atmosphere that is perfect for socializing.
    • RiRa at Luxor - This is the Irish Bar that looks and feels like a real Irish bar. The food is better than average and the drinks will have you singing Irish tunes until the early hours.
    • Dick’s Last Resort - Get insulted while having a drink. Leave your ego at the door and have some fun with the wild employees at Dick's.
    • Margaritaville at Flamingo - Boat drinks and Jimmy Buffet, you know you need that, right?
    • La Cave at Wynn - Beer, wine and small plates along with some space for flirtatious behavior.
    • The Bar at Old Homestead at Caesars - You might as well order a steak before your party starts so have a beer, followed by a cocktail, chased with some wine.
