Having moved last year to a new time, in late July, the every-popular Baltimore Gay Pride Celebration takes place over two days - the dates for this year are July 23 and 24, 2016, but there are related events taking place throughout the week leading up to the big weekend, and there's also an LGBT Baseball outing to watch the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yard. Each of the main days of Pride weekend sees a different event in a different part of Baltimore, and there are also a handful of related events and parties leading up to the weekend, plus plenty going on in Baltimore's many gay bars.
Leading up to the big weekend, a handful of fun Pride Events include a Twilight on the Terrace party in Gertrude's Restaurant at the Baltimore Museum of Art; a High Heel Race, King & Queen of Pride Pageant, and more.
The major events during Pride weekend are, on Saturday, July 23, the Baltimore Gay Pride Parade, which takes place at 2 pm, beginning in the beautiful and historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, running along North Charles Street.
Also on Saturday, and following the parade, Mount Vernon is the site of a fabulous Baltimore Gay Pride Block Party, taking place on Charles and Eager streets. Afterward, the several cool bars (such as Grand Central/Sappho's) in this area are buzzing with Pride participants.
On Sunday, the Baltimore Pride Festival takes place back in Druid Hill Park in the northwest side of Baltimore. It's held from 10 am until 6 pm and includes a great mix of performers and other entertainment.

Additionally, plenty of gay-popular Baltimore bars and restaurants, gay-friendly hotels, and shops will be extra busy during this busy time, and catering heavily to LGBT visitors. Check local gay papers, such as Baltimore OUTloud and Baltimore Gay Life, for details, and also check out the excellent Gay and Lesbian Visitor web page of the Baltimore Convention and Visitors Bureau.
