Pictorial Tour of the Avalon Waterways' Avalon Panorama European River Ship
The Avalon Panorama was launched in May 2011, and the Avalon Waterways' European river ship is lovely, with sleek, contemporary decor. The 64 Panorama Suites, which measure 200 square feet and have a large seating area adjacent to a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall Panoramic Window, are the ship's most innovative feature. This 11-foot wide by 7-foot tall window opens wide at 7-feet. When open, it transforms the entire stateroom into an open air balcony and provides amazing views as you sail along the river.
The Avalon Panorama also has a large, comfortable observation lounge forward, and a smaller lounge aft. Most meals are served in the ship's one dining room, but a grill lunch is also offered outside on the sun deck.
The Avalon Panorama is sailing several different Avalon Waterways' itineraries over the next two years, including "Magnificent Europe" between Amsterdam and Budapest, "Blue Danube Discovery" between Budapest and Prague, and several different Christmas market itineraries.
