Who could forget Richard Blais and his faux-hawk on Top Chef's Season 4? A front runner from the start, he wowed everyone with his molecular gastronomy (aka lots of liquid nitrogen). Richard made it to the final round and finished as the runner up. He then returned for Top Chef All-Stars and took home first place.
Atlanta locals and visitors can sample Richard's cuisine at several restaurants in town. Blais has opened two locations of FLIP Burger - an innovative and modern burger joint with milkshakes featuring his famous liquid nitrogen - plus a fancy sausage restaurant called HD1 in Poncey-Highland. He is also opening the more upscale restaurant The Spence in the summer of 2012 on Tech Square.
