In terms of gay nightlife, no city in the Southeast has a larger and more varied selection of gay nightlife options than Atlanta. In addition to the many bars, lounges, and discos around town, Atlanta has several establishments that cater guys looking to meet - and mess around with - other guys. Currently, all of Atlanta gay spas and sex clubs are in Midtown, within an easy drive of local hotels and bars.

Most of these places in Atlanta are sex clubs rather than bathhouses, meaning that they don't have shower and pool facilities.

One notable exception is Flex Spa Atlanta (76 4th St. NW, 404-815-0456), which is right in Midtown near I-75/I-85, a handy location if you're staying at one of the neighborhoods many hotels or heading over after spending some time at a bar. This very popular gay bathhouse, part of the national chain with additional locations in Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, is just across the interstate from the campus of Georgia Tech. This extensive club is popular day and night, thanks to a nice layout and plenty of amenities - a very nice sundeck and pool, a well-outfitted gym, a maze steam room, a Jacuzzi, and so on. You can also arrange for the services of a licensed massage therapist.

In the industrial area of loading docks and warehouses off of Cheshire Bridge Road, Club Eros Atlanta (2219 Faulkner Rd., 404-287-4482) is a private men's sex club (there are no bathhouse facilities).

There are booths, dark rooms, lockers, and porn showing on video screens. The club's reputation is pretty mixed, as these sorts of places go, but it does get very busy here, especially late on weekend nights. In this same area you'll find Manifest 4U (2103 Faulkner Rd., 404-549-2815), right by the Jungle gay nightclub and popular for its different theme nights (boxers-and-briefs Thursdays, Atlanta Jacks parties), and - a short drive away - The Den Atlanta (2135 Liddell Dr., 404-292-7746), another sex-club option.
