Atlanta's Water Parks

Atlanta is home to two water parks: Six Flags White Water and LanierWorld. Set aside an entire day to enjoy the fun in store for your family at each park. Whether you’re seeking thrills and rides or want to relax by the water, each water park has something for everyone in the family.

Six Flags White Water

There are more than 30 attractions for Six Flags White Water visitors, including many groups and kid-friendly rides like hanging out at the Captain Kid’s Cove playground and rafting down 600 feet of rapids in the Bahama Bob Slide. Don’t miss the park’s tallest attraction, the 10-story Dive Bomber water chute.

LanierWorld at Lanier Islands

In addition to more than a half mile of white, sandy beaches along Lake Lanier, the LanierWorld water park boasts over a dozen rides, including the largest wave pool in the state of Georgia. Each day during the summer, live entertainment (think: concerts, trivia nights and low-country boils) accompanies special family programming, like “dive-in movies.”

Atlanta Area Aquatic Centers

No pool? No problem. Atlanta is home to several public aquatic centers in and around the city. Whether you want to sign up for swimming lessons, race down the slides or sunbathe on a lounge chair, check out our list of Atlanta’s community pools next—many of which are open year-round. Be sure to call each center or check their website for operating hours and year-round schedules.

Piedmont Park Aquatic Center

Located in Atlanta’s most picturesque park, the Piedmont Park Aquatic Center boasts a large leisure pool with beach-entry, lap lanes (some are available for recreational use), a concession stand and landscaped deck, all set to a postcard-worthy view of Atlanta’s stunning skyline. The pool is outdoors, so it is only open seasonally. However, passes to the pool are available for purchase and come with exclusive offers, like extended hours on Thursdays and late night swims. ​Visit the center at Monroe Drive NE in Atlanta.

Emory Aquatics Center

Cool off this summer with a visit to the Aquatics Center at the Emory University Student Activity and Academic Center. Although membership is required, members of the Atlanta community are able to register for access. Along with open swim hours, members can take part in swim lessons, race on the Clairmont Cudas swim team and take advantage of special events, like movie nights, throughout the season.

Mountain Park Aquatic Center

At the Mountain Park Aquatic Center, cool off with two giant waterslides, a lazy river channel, water vortex and expansive water play structures before driving over to see the Lasershow Spectacular at Stone Mountain Park. The outdoor pool is open seasonally, but the indoor competition and leisure pools pool are open for swimming lessons, watching swim meets and enjoying the water year-round.

Visit the center at 1063 Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain. Residents get a discount rate, but it's still inexpensive for non-residents.

Welcome All Park & Multipurpose Facility

With lighted sports fields, picnic shelters with grills, a game room, art room and a gym, the aquatic center at Welcome All Park & Multipurpose Facility offers many ways to enjoy your day. The pool offers a variety of programs for your family, including after-school programming, swim lessons, water aerobics, lifeguard training and swim teams for high school and younger youth.

It's located at ​4255 Will Lee Road in College Park.  

Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta Aquatic Center

With three pools, a splash park, lake and boating facilities, the aquatic facilities at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta Aquatic Center are expansive and have varied opportunities for family fun, whether you want to hang out at the indoor pool with a sauna, steam room, and hot tub, soak up the sun at the outdoor pool or take a ride out on Zaban Park Lake to fish. Swim lessons, group exercise classes and party rentals are also available at the aquatics center.

Atlanta Swim Academy

With three climate-controlled indoor pools, including a four-lane junior Olympic lap pool, the Atlanta Swim Academy is a swim school created just for kids. From year-round swim teams to group and private swim lessons and the “Camp H20” summer camp, your kids will make new friends and lasting memories while learning to love the water. The center also offers a baby splash class completely free of charge for parents and babies 3 to 5 months old.

The swim academy is at 732 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta.

Lenora Park Pool

In need of an outdoor party space? Add Lenora Park Pool to your list. The pool has water play structures for everyone to enjoy, along with a beach-like, zero-entry pool, a waterslide and a lazy river channel. Although the pool is available for private rentals, you can visit seven days a week until 6 p.m. (opening times vary).

Residents get a discounted entry price, although it's cheap entertainment no matter where you live. The Lenora pool is at 4515 Lenora Church Road in Snellville. 

Bethesda Park Aquatic Center

Although a large indoor pool with zero-entry is enough to convince us to visit the aquatic center, there are plenty of other attractions to keep you coming back to the Bethesda Park Aquatic Center. Take a ride on the giant waterslide that exits and re-enters the building and take advantage of the hydrotherapy benches, ceiling sprays, and water play structures. The aquatic center is open year-round and offers swimming lessons throughout the year.

Gwinnett County residents get a discounted entry. This aquatic center is at 225 Bethesda Church Road in Lawrenceville. 

Collins Hill Aquatic Center

Although the outdoor leisure pool at Collins Hill Aquatic Center is only open during the summer, a 25-yard by 25-meter competition swimming and diving pool is open year-round. With two water slides and water play structures, the center is a great place to cool off after enjoying the one-mile multi-purpose trail on-site. Swim lessons are offered for an additional cost throughout the year.

Gwinnett County residents pay less than non-residents. Find this fun center at ​2200 Collins Hill Road in Lawrenceville.

Cumming Aquatic Center

The Cumming Aquatic Center has an outdoor leisure pool with an expansive play structure, waterslides and a lazy river. Although the outdoor pool is seasonal, the indoor pool has open play hours throughout the year. The center offers swim lessons, birthday parties and private center rentals. With swim lessons for preschoolers to adults, there’s a place for everyone to learn. The Cumming center is located at 201 Aquatic Circle in Cumming. 

Bogan Park Aquatic Center

The Bogan Park Aquatic Center is located on 83 acres of green space, at 2723 N. Bogan Road in Buford. It comes complete with a gym, baseball/softball complex, two miles of trails and an indoor competition pool, zero-entry leisure pool and giant waterslide. The center is open year-round.
